Which body part works extra hard and is mistreated extra bad at the same time?

It's our feet!

Did you know that an average reasonably active person walks over 100,000 miles in a life span of 70 years?

That's like walking four times around the entire globe! (Couch potatoes are in a different category, and even worse off)

And did you know that 3 out of 4 Americans experience serious foot problems in their lifetimes? (It's similar in many developed countries). Why is that?

Let's see what we do about all this walking

  • Many people carry a heavy burden by being overweight
  • Many women torture their feet with high heels
  • Women and men often squeeze their feet into ill-fitting shoes

And how much actual foot care does the average person do? Aside from pedicures - mostly NONE!

There is a foot epidemic happening

It's really no wonder that there is a long list of foot problems plaguing many millions of people:

  • Swollen and aching feet
  • Gout
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Corns and callouses
  • Bunyons
  • Collapsed arches
  • Hammertoes
  • Nerve conditions

Why are foot problems so serious? Because they do not only affect the feet, but they can negatively affect the entire structural alignment of the body and cause problems for hips, back, and even the neck.

To either prevent or improve foot problems, one excellent way to go about it is foot massage.
But not just any kind of foot massage. Many people, including therapists, equate foot massage with reflexology, which is only one way of applying foot therapy.

Western reflexology uses primarily thumbs which can be quite hard on the hands of the therapist. And if a small therapist with small hands is trying to work on a client with large and stiff feet - now here we are talking about a serious challenge, or even risk to the well-being of the therapist.

Also western reflexology can be quite intense for the client. In spite of its therapeutic value, it is often not exactly a pleasant experience.

What if there was an ideal solution?

  • Something that combines therapeutic value with a highly pleasant massage experience
  • A massage style which does not primarily rely on the use of thumbs
  • Massage techniques which are so therapist-friendly that even small therapists can easily work on large feet

Imagine this...

What if you could experience the pleasure of sitting in a comfortable recliner...
... and you are receiving a wonderfully relaxing, healthful, invigorating, and therapeutic foot massage...
... and all that while you dreamily drift between wake and sleep state?

And after the session you feel like you are walking on clouds, like you have a set of million-dollar feet!

Does this actually exist?

At this point I should introduce myself

My name is Shama Kern. I have had a love affair with Thai Massage for a long time. Actually I have been practicing and teaching it for 20 years.

I am also the founder and director of Thai Healing Massage Academy, one of the largest institutions dedicated to teaching Thai Massage through high-quality online training courses.

I am fortunate to live in Thailand which is probably the best place in the world to receive excellent foot massage, and I have received hundreds of those over the years.

In Thailand it is common to  see a row of recliners set up on a sidewalk, at the entrance of the mall, in the middle of a busy market, in massage shops, at temple grounds, along exercise trails, at festivals or exhibitions.

Foot Massage is very popular in Thailand, and for good reasons...

Thai Foot Massage meets all the criteria for the ideal foot massage system

Thai Foot Massage is a very enjoyable experience for your clients. They love it.

Thai Foot Massage is very therapist friendly and does not rely on just thumb work.

Thai Foot Massage has a wide range of techniques and is therapeutically very effective.

What can you expect from Thai Foot Massage?

Are you a massage therapist or reflexologist?

Thai Foot Massage will add many additional techniques to your repertoire. And more importantly, it will do so while reducing the stress on your hands and thumbs.

Thai Foot Massage uses a unique system of techniques which are not much known in the western world. This system will help you in many ways:

  • It is much easier on your body
  • You will have power with less effort
  • It preserves your health and prolongs your career
  • It will set you apart as someone with unique skills
  • It will result in high client satisfaction and retention
  • It adds an entire modality to your skill set

Not using foot massage yet?

If you do not offer Thai Foot Massage as part of your practice yet, you are missing out on a great opportunity to attract many clients with this unique service, grow your business, create gratitude, healthfulness and well-being for many people.

Once your clients experience the Thai Foot Massage system, they will love it. This unique service will be in high demand. Just see what our students have to say later on this page.

What exactly is the Thai Foot Massage system?

It is actually not just one system, but three in one:

  • The first style is part of the Thai Massage system. It is done without oil and consists of pressure points, foot manipulations and stretches. It is generally the opening part of a Thai Massage session.
  • The second style is Thai Reflexology. This is done with oil or lotion and it is a stand-alone massage modality.
  • The third style is highly specialized foot therapy for specific conditions. It contains an entire holistic system for foot therapy which goes way beyond techniques. It includes evaluation, techniques, causes, life-style issues, and self-help exercises.

Why is Thai Foot Massage so therapist friendly?

Unlike western reflexology, which is very thumb-intensive, you use your thumbs much less in Thai Foot Massage.

How is this possible? Because you can use many other body parts besides thumbs, like forearms, elbows, knees, and even feet.

Even if you use your hands, you don't just rely on your thumbs. Thai Foot Massage uses hands in unique, much more stress-free ways.

And finally, Thai Foot Massage is utilizing ideal body mechanics, working with natural body weight instead of muscle pressure. This allows even small therapists to work on large feet.

What can you achieve with this training?

  • Give a one hour quality foot massage session
  • Perform many manipulations and stretches for feet and ankles
  • Work therapeutically on people with foot and ankle issues
  • Recognize and understand foot problems
  • Preserve the health of your hands and wrists by using correct body mechanics
  • Master a step-by-step system for complete foot and ankle massage therapy
  • Effectively use your thumbs, knuckles, palms, forearms, elbows, knees and feet
  • Achieve expert status at Thai Foot Massage and Thai Reflexology

I absolutely loved the Thai Foot Massage course. The last module was my favorite because I practice on a table.
My clients are equally excited . They have begun requesting 1 hour foot massages! Thank you Shama! I learned so much from your Thai Foot Massage video course! Loved it!!!

I found theThai Foot Massage course to be of exceptional standard.
You go to extraordinary lengths to make learning easy and fun, always with emphasis on ergonomics, rhythm and flow. I like the close ups, and also when you demonstrate putting it all together in a routine which is adaptable.

Kim Harvey

I am really enjoying and learning so much from your Thai Foot Massage course. Your videos and explanations are excellent!

I can now cover most reflexology zones using supported knuckle(s) and fists.

This is easier, especially on specific acupressure points instead of constant pressured thumb-walking work. My favorite word now is 'ergonomics'.

Terrylynn Guest

I have found the Thai Foot Massage course excellent. I learned how to work without stressing my hands and thumbs.

This is very valuable to me because I have carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands, but have always wanted to help people feel better. The new-to-me moves are luxurious to clients. Thank you for the wonderful course. You are an excellent teacher.
