Hello all,

I'M BACK...  I enjoyed the complete Thai course so much that I've decided to do the foot course.

Module 1:

Thanks for the refresher on the lines on the feet.  This module seems to me to be a repeat of the Complete Thai course.  As you stated earlier, you can never have enough foot work done.

Module 2:

Thumbs, knuckles, and forearms...  Oh, MY!  The knuckles section was a little difficult for me to get comfortable with.  In time, it will become second nature.  I do like the closeup videos that you have added to the course.

Module 3:

Now I know that some of this is a repeat! ¬†The first technique has become a client favorite! ¬†What they seem to like even better is the achilles tendon work. ¬†It even feels good when done as self-help. ¬†Keep 'em coming. ¬†ūüėÄ

Sure, there is a little overlap between the Complete Thai Massage course and the Thai Foot Massage course. However the Thai Foot Massage course builds into a lot of new material, and once you get to the Thai Reflexology part of it, it won't have anything to do with the Complete Thai Massage course at all.

Module 4

Choices, choices, choices... ¬†Out of all the these options my partner liked the elbow / ¬†forearm in the prone position the most. ¬†I'm kinda getting into the foot one where the heel is in the bottom of the foot. ¬†Really saves on the fingers ūüėÄ

Module 5

That was a video packed with techniques to do!  My partners feet and lower legs are so tight that it is difficult sometimes to get them to move.  After practicing this module, we were able to go quite a long time doing errands before her feet started to hurt again.  I particularly like the moving the feet up (loosening up the gastroc's) and the foot rotation at the end.  Both are at a better angle to do than doing it on the table.

Module 6

Nice technique for stabilizing the ankle.  I find that a lot of people need that stability.  With all the different shoes that people wear, the technique of using the finger and thumb below the ankle will get some good milage!

If your partner's feet are so tight and hurt so easily, you will be able to work miracles with the material which is starting in the next module - the Thai Reflexology system. That will put the icing on the cake! Smile

Module 7

Fantastic!  Now my partner is going to want foot massages every day!  I had to dust off the massage oil since I don't use any for medical massage work that I do.  I do like the gliding effect when using knuckles though.  What was most liked by her was the fingers on the top of the foot and thumbs on the bottom and then working the way down the foot (last technique of module)

Module 8

I guess all I can say about this module is that the power movement with the knuckles is going to be a big hit!  Do you ever use essential oils in your mixture?  I've heard that people seem to use peppermint.

Yes, here in Thailand we often use coconut oil for massage work. Since this has a rather strong smell, a little essential oil is a perfect addition. I have not heard of any therapists mixing essential oils with the cream or lotion which is generally used for foot massage. However if you go to more fancy spas, they tend to use a lot of nice touches there like using essential oils and flower petals etc.

Module 9

I find toe work just a little difficult on my partner.  My fingers aren't the largest in the world, actually they more resemble "girly hands".  The problem is the toes on my partners feet are not like your models.  The are more scrunched next to the foot.  That didn't stop us, just made it a little more difficult.  She really enjoyed the leg and knee work as well.  Thanks!

module 10

Sneaky... using massage techniques while wiping off the oil!  Thanks for the demonstration.  I'll be using it for a template for me to get comfortable with techniques and transitions.  Thanks again for another great course!

That's a challenge we will always face - people's feet and toes look different, feel different, and require modifications of the techniques. All that comes easily with practice and experience.

I am glad to hear that you liked the course! Smile
