Dear Shama!

Yes, I am now ready to share my progress and seek your guidance on Sciatica Course...

Module 1 & 2 : Introduction + Testing & Diagnosis: In this video course, you have gone one step further by explaining so clearly with diagrams and pics , what sciatica is, how it happens and its effects... I have gone through very well your testing methods for sciatica as well as limited diagnosis, of course, massage therapists need not do that in depth diagnosis, you have rightly said. Use of yoga pose: Vajra Asana (Thunderbolt Pose) & Supta Vajra Asana is so appropriate for Sciatica management.

Thanks again my dear sir... Smile

Hi Virender, with your knowledge of yoga you can make a great combination therapy with yoga and the sciatica course.

Dear Shama !

Going through my sciatica video course, I wonder whether working with foot, I may hurt my client accidentally....Is working with foot required at all in this therapy?

Please guide....

You will not hurt your clients accidentally with your foot anymore than you might hurt them with your knees, hands, elbows or forearms. Any technique requires practice, sensitivity and experience to apply well. Foot techniques are very useful, but they do require good balance and careful application of just the right pressure.

Foot techniques come in very handy when you work on very large persons and you want to make sure that you don't strain your hands. However, like with all my courses, the techniques are options to choose from, not mandatory sequences. Of course using a foot technique would not be a good choice for a 100 pound woman, but it might be an excellent choice for a 200 pound man.

You are on your way to become a sciatica expert, this should be a great addition to your Thai Massage training.

You should be able to add to that with your yoga experience which I only touched on in this module.
