Module 2 Chi Machine
I was practicing the Chi machine already on my massages, but the video showed me different techniques that I’m applying to my clients now.
The explanation about how the energy in the body works and moves was very helpful. While applying the new techniques, it was easy to make sense of the movement explained in the video. This massages makes my life easier with patience that do not like pressure.
The video was Easy to understand and put into practice.
Module 3 Leg Rocking
It has been a little challenging for me to nail the body mechanics so far, but I think its because i’m thinking too much about the rocking part of the massage. I feel it will get easier with practice like when I did the Thai massage cert. The techniques are great and easy to follow. While practicing the feedback was very positive, the energy flows and moves, the patient can feel relax and centered from the beginning of the massage. It’s easier to relax the patient with the rocking massage than with the thai massage, I feel so far.
Module 4 Hip stretches 1
Learning new techniques is always a challenge and takes time and practice. The techniques are great, I feel every time I add another technique to my practice I need to be gentle with my body and make sure my body mechanics are being apply correctly. Love the techniques for the legs and hips. Experimenting and playing with the form and technique, allowing my body to feel whats right for the patient and for me. The hip stretch may not be for several of my patient that will like this kind of massage, but definitely getting use to the techniques.
Module 5 Hips stretches 2 Spinal twist
The hip stretches on this video, I was already applying them to my thai massage. Adding the rocking part has been easy and part of my routine, so body mechanics has not been a difficulty on this video. The twist was also part of my thai massage, so implementing it with a little bit more of a rocking motion has been easy. I actually will apply the rocking version to my regular thai massages from now on, i feel it works better, more gentle and more effective. Feed back from client was very good.
Hi Veronica, welcome to the Thai Rocking Massage certification program. It looks like you have it all figured out, but I always post a reference to our certification check list at the beginning of each thread for your reference, so here it is:
I agree with you – it is generally easier to relax someone with rocking moves than with regular Thai Massage moves, especially if someone is rather stiff or resisting. It sounds like you are easily integrating the rocking into your work. I have personally had excellent results with rocking techniques when I did challenging therapeutic work, or working on pain sensitive clients.
Great intro video and explanation to whats coming on the course and we are going to receive the information. Also the explanation about Rocking massage was in depth, sufficient and clear.
I can not wait to apply the rocking massage to my practice and offer it to those clients that are unable to take pressure. I have many of my patients that will enjoy the additional techniques to be added to their Thai massage in areas that they can’t take preasure
