After studying several rocking massage methods, including Eyal Lederman's Harmonic Technique for osteopathy, I found Shama's course to be helpful for learning how to convert rocking/oscillation techniques from table to floor. Regarding the trance-like state and pleasurable sensations elicited by rocking, however, I have found so far that the rocking generated by Japanese Sotai foot massage has a stronger and faster effect. I am therefore using Sotai as a way to teach the receiver awareness of pleasurable sensation, and Shama's techniques as a way to combine rocking with more full body therapeutic techniques when necessary.
