I already feel I have a good foundation for begining to practice HHM. A few key points that will be helpful are combining the touch, energy, awareness & graceful movements in each session.. So excited for Module 2! Terri Dolter

Welcome to the forum, Terri. I am glad that you picked up on the awareness and the graceful movements of HHM. That’s a good part of the essence already.

Just finished the 3d manual. I feel this training is outstanding…I really like that Shama, states the importance of the “Hara” Complete Healing Energy. I try to approach my Yoga teachings in this manner. The information of the emotions being released at the cellular level was helpful as well.   Looking Forward to the next lesson. Namaste, Terri Dolter

Hi Terri, I am so glad you like the training. It really comes from my heart since it involves much more than physical massage manipulations. It is about working with energy and moving energy, and about developing a ‘heavenly’ touch. It goes great with yoga. All my clients love the Heavenly Head Massage sessions. I have yet to meet someone who does not.

Just completed lesson #5. I appreciate the detail Shama expresse’s in regards to the neck area. A key point for me was, keeping the neck fully supported. This is a very movable , but yet delicate area of the body and needs to be handled with proper flowing movements. Looking forward to the next lesson… Terri Dolter

Terri, I moved your last post to the topic which you had originally created so that they all end up in the same place.

Looks like you are doing well with the course, and you are picking up the important elements.

Module# 7

A Few Items I found to be key! Were Shama expressing the importance of creating the strech for the neck by lengthenig not comressing. I also liked the way he uses his knees as a tool to control the position & angle of the neck.

You are at the midway point of the course. The neck work is the most involved part of the training, but it is also the one you can use most. I have quite a few clients who come to me primarily for neck work, and once you get through all the neck modules, you will be able to specialize in neck therapy work, if you want, in addition to offering the entire Heavenly Head Massage system.

Module # 9 & 10- I will definitely use the ear massage technique. This is an area that most people dont even think about but if you massage the ears & the area directly behind them where the groove of the earlobe meets the skull, as Shama explained. The results will be so rewarding to the client.  The ears are related to our balance. The ears can actually sense when the position of the head is moved. May even be helpful to someone who suffers mild motion sickness.

I have heard similar comments from quite a few clients. Some told me that they had never ever received an ear massage. One thing that they had in common was that they all loved the ear massage. This is a great skill to have and can be used in any kind of massage modality.

Module 13

The Face is such a personal & spiritual area. I liked that Shama mentioned to not apply pressure to the 3d eye. The home of the Brow Shakra. When this area is activated it stimulates both Hempispheres of the brain. I think you can definetly allow relaxation & healing with knowledge & mindfulness towards the receiver in a Smilefacial area massage.

module #2 Shama explains how the “Magic of Touch” can change cell memory. By the healing touch of massage, old emotions can be released by creating a light & healing energy for the client. I have experienced this on a personal level. I had a old injury that was use to feeling pain by the memory of the pain. Once I realized the cause I was able to allow this area to heal through massage, mind, & breath work. The Human Body Is “AMAZING”…

The human body-mind is amazing, definitely. It is capable of so much more than we are aware of. Heavenly Head Massage uses the body, the breath and the mind to access those deeper levels.

module#4 The Neck (Cervical Spine) The neck is a very movable area. As Shama explains, it must be handled with full support when treating this area. I like his tip for using jojoba oil if needed, It is not oily & has a nice soft natural scent.

I get a commission when you buy Jojoba oil – just kidding! This oil is also very beneficial for your skin, by the way.

module #6  I like how Shama explains how to create space for the neck by his different techniques. One of many that I will use is when he lifts the neck from each side not on the spine, then pulls it back smoothly to create the strech “space” for the spine. Most people have compression in this area, so this would feel “Heavenly”…

Yes, neck traction feels really good, as it counteracts the constant impact of gravity on the spine.

module # 11 When working on the scalp Shama explains that it is necessary to be relaxed to allow your client to relax. A scalp massage can be used to provide many benefits to the client.  Moving the scalp creates energy, blood flow, & feels wonderful. I also like the circular scalp movement Shama demonstrates in ths module.

module #12 facial area- In this module Shama explains having still hands when holding & supporting the face.He also mentions using very slow movement. The facial area is so important & can bring many benefits to the receiver. The mind is very powerful bringing healing touch to it can bring deep healing. I was reading about the Pituitary Gland being located in center of the sphneiod bone. I was wondering what massage technique you might recommend to open this area? Thanks Terri
