Module 1

Rocking is something that I do even to myself. I'm a very high energy person and it helps. The different types of rocking is what I've been doing as a added benefit to calm a client down especially the Chi Machine type with the ankles. I did have a client this week that has a lot of neck/shlder pain and I added the hip rocking after her upper body massage and she did seem to really like it.

Module 2

First of all, I don't have a mat, I'm going to be doing this as a table type treatment. I've been doing massage for 25 yrs and I'm 65 yrs old. I do yoga which will help me to do these techniques. The client that I worked on absolutely loved the rocking of the ankles and pulling on the leg for the traction in the hip. I did finalize the session with the hip rocking. My clients legs and hips were straight.

Module 3

Since I'm doing these sessions on a massage table I'm actually finding this pretty easy standing alongside of the client on the table. After the chi  effect on the ankles then I rocked the leg. I bought out the leg til the kneel of the foot was at the edge of the table. It was easy to rock the leg with the leg close to me so I could keep my body mechanics correct. I also put my knee up on the table and put her leg on my knee to rock the leg. Client liked the feel of both types of positions. I could put more pressure on the leg with the leg flat on the table.

Module 4

This time I did the compressions with the squeezing of the leg muscles. I was able to sit on edge of the table with my leg under the client leg doing the rocking and added the pulling for the traction. The client really enjoyed that. Then I put the clients leg in the 90 degree and sat on her foot and pulled her knee towards me with some rocking. I wish I was on the table having that done to me. I was relaxing doing the technique and the client loved it.

Module 4

So far doing this on the table is working for me. This client today I did the stretching of the leg 90 degrees and stretched it up to her ear. Client was very flexible. I was able to stretch with the rocking on both of her legs. I had one hand on her kneel and the other behind her knee. I also had her breathe with the stretches and I did the breath with her.

Module 6

Client today had a lot of hip problems. Client is around 75 yrs old but seems to be healthy and active. I started with the Chi machine along with the leg rocking along with the leg stretches. Clients hips seemed to be stiff as we started out. As I got to the leg stretches I had to do more rocking to try to relax her hips and legs. The spinal twist was tight and stiff but it seemed to relax. I did compressions/rocking on pelvic bones. I had the client move over toward side of table to pull and rock the hips toward me. When my client left she felt Very good and can't wait till the next treatment.

Hi Teresa, you had posted in the wrong forum, the Introduction forum. I moved your entire thread to the correct forum, the Thai Massage certification forum.

Also you still need to send in a certification registration form. Without that we don't know what kind of certificate you want. You can find this form on the Certification Tutorial page (accessible from the Certification Information banner in the sidebar of your membership porta).

Also please take a moment and familiarize yourself with our Certification Checklist to make sure that it is all correctly organized:

Module 7

Abdominal Massage I have to say is one of the modules I'm not comfortable with. I do tummy massages if someone is having trouble. My technique consist of massaging the tummy to the left with a little vibrations. I do this in small increments all around then finish with massaging from under rib cage to lower abdomen. I will try to add this into what I do. I may take your Abdominal Massage course when I get all my hrs done for my renewal.

Module 8

The client that I did the rocking of the rib cage and chest area did enjoy it. The client does experience Asthma from time to time and I think this will help her in a lot of ways. Her chest area seemed to feel Very relaxed. I worked with her on her breathing along with the rocking. I added the shlder rolling only one side at a time cause I'm doing this on the massage table. I was relaxed and comfortable doing this technique. I hope to hear from her in a few weeks to see if she experience any chest tightness.

I forgot to add on Module 7 that after the tummy massage I finish with a Liver Flush

Module 9

I was able to add the shlder swinging and rolling with the client in Module 8. I did bring the arms over her head by swinging and rolling doing compressions on the shlders. It did help her to be able to take deeper breathes. Her breathing patterns seemed to be shallow. She does mouth breathing and I encouraged her to try to breath through her nose.

Module 10

Now that I know the sequence from the summary I have a client that experiences a lot of nk/shlder pain. I live in a 55 and older community here in Ellenton Florida and have a room I do Massage/Thai/Hair. We play water volley ball and this client is a mess in her nk/shlders. She has a Military Neck which her cervical spinal area is straight. There is No curve in it at all. My experience with Military Nks over the yrs seems nothing really helps long term. If you have any suggestions on it please recommend anything.

I was able to do the summary with this client and she absolutely loved it. She felt a lot of freedom in her body and her breath was nice and strong.

Wow, you are getting the forum posts done at lightning speed. However, as mentioned in my previous post, we still need your certification registration form. Please fill it out and send it in. I explained in my previous post how to do that.

Hi Shama, It may seem to be lighting speed but I watched and listened to all the videos before I did any dictating. I'm glad I did it that way cause it made me go back through each one again and refresh on the techniques.

Thank you for responding so quickly. This class is the first on online that I had to dictate each video and I did like it better. I feel like I got a lot out of it. I did take a Thai class at a Massage School a few yrs ago so this was an awesome refresher. I almost took it again but I found your course and glad I did. I been doing massage for 26 yrs and some of my joints I have to be careful with.

You haven't heard the last of me I'll be taking moreKiss

Module 11

The client that has Asthma is the one I chose to do the full body Thai Rocking Massage. She Absolutely loved it! She also experiences hip and nk/shlder pain. The treatment went pretty well since I had been practicing on her a few times. Her hips had relaxed some from her previous treatment. The prone position was very beneficial for her. I did take my time with that part knowing the hip/nk/shlder problems. The breathing along with the stretches did help her a lot. Hopefully she will continue her breathing and stretching on her own.

I am happy to hear that you are still involved in massage at age 65. Actually we have a surprising amount of students in their sixties and even seventies.

I sure hope that I haven't heard the last of you! Smile
