Finished module 1 and 2. I like the way it is laid out but having trouble watching the video. I right clicked and downloaded the videos as described but still comes as if it was streaming with the start and stop. Any suggestions?

Mark, this can have two causes: One is that you are using a media player which is not compatible with the mp4 format and/or has some codec missing, and the second reason could be that you have not updated your media player to the latest version.

The easiest and best solution is to download VLC media player. This is free and will guaranteed play the videos. You can get it here:

http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

Since the videos are playing perfectly at my end, the issue must be your media player. Luckily this is easy to fix. Let me know how it works out:)

Mark, I moved your posts to a new topic, since you had them posted at the tail end of an already long topic. This makes it easier for others to find, and I am sure others will have similar issues sometimes. So here is your latest reply:

"That was the problem. I switched media players and now use the VLC. It is coming through great now. Loving the videos. I have taken 2 courses under Kimberly Hardick at Aledo Yoga and found out she is also working with you. It is a small world. Namaste"  -  Mark

Yes, you are right, it is a small world. Kimberly has my main Thai Massage course as well. Actually even more "small world" - I met Kimberly in person here in Chiang Mai, Thailand, when she was leading a tour here, just days after we became facebook friends.

In Module 3 and moving along. I am able to see everything well and the teaching is smooth and easy to understand. Just finished a 1 1/2 hr. session and headed home for Christmas. Plan to move much faster after Christmas.

Shama,

Out for a bit while I got remarried and got a few other apsects of my life moving forward. Life is great and I am really enjoying the course. I am doing 5 to 10 sessions a week. I continue to incorporate new techniques I am learnig from your videos into my sessions. I am adding variety and becoming more natural and effiecient with my movements.

Welcome back Mark. That's great that you are doing well with the course and applying it. Sounds like you are really figuring it out and making it your own - way to go!

Great that you are 'rolling' again. I read your post about looking for other students from the East Texas area. Most of my students don't take the time to get involved with the forum, and when they sign up, I generally don't know where they are from. That's why I can't be of much help with this. But Kimberley's group should be a good connection I would think.

Just thought I would try. I do touch base with Kimberly when possible but Aledo, Texas, where she lives, is nearly 3 1/2 hours from here. Almost as easy to go to Houston. Into lesson 8 and still changing and refining what I already have learned and do. I have done 2 sessions today and incorporate some of the new techniques along the way. Thanks

Might be a good idea to edit your post and specify where you live, just in case someone materializes - you never know. East Texas is an awfully big area. I think you know, I used to live in Austin.

I am running back through my videos and posting as I go along with doing the CEU quizs. I made comments on the first few vids so will pick back up with the 4th.

I have now re-watched the first 4 videos and answered the first 20 questions. The main message I have gotten from these is that the techniques once learned will become larger concepts which can be applied intuitively as we become comfortable with Thai massage. The natural feel and flow can only be developed by learning and praticing the lessons. Our own sequences and techniques will only develop when we have experience and knowledge to draw from. The feel is much more important then the technique and the feel will be dependent on our knowledge of Thai, ability and mind-set.

Re-watched 5 and 6. I did pick up techniques I didn't catch the first time. I really enjoy the rocking techniques. Have also completed the questions on those modules.

Completed module 7 and 8 today again on the legs and completed the test questions. Again, noticing things I didn't see the first time. Clearly, reveiwing the sessions periodically will bring out new insights. I am still finding some of the rocking techniques beneficial for me as well as the clients.

I have been shifting to rocking techniques more and more over the last few years. They just flow better, are easier on my hands, and are more pleasant to experience for the client than the linear pressure ones.

I am glad you are picking up new things the second time around. I think that would likely happen with most people.

Continuing to work on the test and modules. I have now gone through 9, 10 and 11 to complete the leg modules and quiz questions. I will pick up with 12 and 13 today and practice over the weekend.Cool

Completed 12, 13 and 14 on hips and am applying more of the rocking techniques. I haven't memorized the pie image but have a fairly good feel for it. All the questions through lesson 14 are complete.
