Module 2
As a yoga teacher I also offer one on one sessions. I can already envision myself giving my student a HHM at the end of the physical practice. They will love it!!!
I can totally see, how this technique is complimenting ..... or for some students with an especially wild "monkey mind" maybe even be THE way to access Shavassana (corpse pose for final deep relaxation).
I am wondering, if using an eye pillow is a good idea! ..... As long, as there is no work done directly around the eye area?
I very much appreciate that you teach those techniques in SUCH precision!!!!!! Its always such a joy to watch, learn, apply and practice! I very much appreciate the online format as well, since it allows me to go back to a module as often as I like! 🙂
We have lots of yoga teachers who have learned Thai Massage in our community. And I have heard from many of them that they use HHM techniques during Shavasana to deepen the relaxation. The feedback has always been that the yoga students absolutely love it.
The eye pillow is not a good idea, as will become evident soon. Once you get to the neck moves, there will be lots of head movement, and the eye pillow will slide off. Once you get to the face massage section, the eye pillow would get in the way and prevent you from working on the face.

With working on the Sternum I noticed, that less is more, since coming to close to the solar plexus or the supra sternal notch indeed is very uncomfortable for the student. The client I worked on mentioned that there have been quite a few very sensitive spot on the sternum and so I made the massage in this area extra super soft and gentle! That worked!
