Nobody ever gets everything right the first time around. It will only get better and more refined with regular practice. Smile

Module 23

Working on sacrum which is need to be careful in every movements. I did not experienced therapist worked my sacrum if I had massage in the spa, but I think this is important to loosen and released tension on sacrum area. My model did not felt anything on that area but she liked it and felt relaxed after the warm up.

Module 24

Working on back between sacrum and neck even I'm using circling, rocking and wingling however I felt difficult to move my hands with breath combination and it is light movement. My model felt good and satisfied with my movement but my back was pain. I need more practice to work easy on back area because I am not satisfied with the outcome even my model was satisfied.

This combination of circling and breathing is something which is normally never taught in Thai Massage schools. However I have found that it makes the techniques much smoother and flow better. It is one of the elements from yoga which I have added to my style of Thai Massage. It does take a little practice to get used to it, but I am sure you will figure the rhythm out with a little more practice. Smile

Module 26

Still working on back, after a series of practice on back warm up I felt comfortable on doing it with movements synchronised with my breath is normal for me now. Working with feelings was great effect to my model and to my self I felt happy if the feedback from my model was good and encourage me to do to other persons to find out if still the comments is the same.

After the warm up I used my fingertips to locate the spot besides spinal then start to noticed some knots and tight parts I just continued circling using my fingertips to loosen the tight muscle then I used my elbow which I had feedback from my model that she felt pain but nice feeling. I applied technique using my knee even her back not so big but still I got good comment from her so just continued giving her good shots then she felt sleepy after the session.  Thanks Shama.

Module 26

Corrector = the above comment was for module 25 not 26.

Still working on back with galloping technique in most of the movements, focusing on waist area which my model requested to work on and he was very happy and relaxed because I really spent most on his concerned, however I am still learning on galloping (timing) even my model already satisfied I still need to practice to make easy for me.

Also I worked on his neck and shoulder which I need more practice because I'm out of focus my one  hand holding on his neck and other hand working on his shoulder which little hard for me.

Module 27

Working on upper back. My model really liked that I am spending more time on her trapezius to release tension,  but the time I worked on her shoulder she felt little pain however she wants me to continue to really melt the tension on that area which she felt long time and used my fingertips besides spinal.

I did shoulder stretched and final twist,  tried all cobra 1 2 3 techniques for the sake of experiencing and found out she was flexible however she was heavy I am still not comfortable on doing but she really loved it so I felt great then I finished with percussion and working on her sacrum area. Thanks Shama for a good knowledge and experienced which I know it will be a great help on my work.

Module 28

Summary of prone position.  I did it for 90 minutes only on my model back which i felt contented but tired how much more if I included supine position it will take me more time. I need to practice to shorten the time I will spend in every movement so that I will complete session base on my targeted minutes with clients satisfaction after the session.

I still need to practice using my knee because I felt that there is no pressure if I use that technique and my model didn't felt anything or maybe I just confused to lean to much because it's heavy and caused pain.i will continue using to discover the correct way for the main time i used another technique which give the same result. The rest of the movements is fine for me in fact my model was happy and had good feedback on my performance which I felt good and encourage me to do better each client in the future. Thanks once again Shama.

Are you referring to the knee on the calf or on the lower back? If you need more power you just have to shift your body more forward. You could go as far as having your thigh at a 90 degree angle to your client's back. That would give you pretty much your entire body weight.

Module 29

I am working on side position which my model is comfortable because of the size of her body so she was happy. I did palming quite long because she requested it however when I did the sitting with my buttock she felt nice but I work hard on that because I can't control yet to put it slow on her side muscle so I need to practice more on doing it nicely.

Forearm leaning then rolling was good because I did it correctly and my model feedback was great.

Module 30

Working on side position 2  which is the continuation of module 29, I started with the lower body and continue working at my model back with an  inspiring feedback from my model when I did palming and thumb elephant walking, leaning on her erector muscle using my palm and spinal twist because I did it nice on her. However for the spinal twist with rocking technique I performed not so good I had difficulty on doing and for the spinal stretched her leg was heavy my hand can't support it but at least I tried and that stretched is not applicable to my model  but i will try again to do that streched to different model of which u can handle her weight. I will continue practising the spinal twist with rocking technique to do good for my future model. Thanks Shama!

Remember that not every stretch works for every person. Just do what you are comfortable with. Practicing on different size models is important so that you see what works on whom and what doesn't work so well on certain people. Naturally the bigger and heavier the clients are, the harder some techniques are. However you can modify this particular technique by holding the leg with both hands. One hand from underneath and the other one from the top of the leg.

Module 31

Still in side position but focusing on shoulder. I did it on male model had stiff neck and he was active on going to the gym every other day and working too much in the computer so his main concerned was his shoulder. I am enjoying doing it to him because when I touched his trapezius I felt (hard on that area) tension was there. I started shoulder circle followed by one hand on shoulder and the other on his trapezius as per him it was nice and quiet painful and he asked me to extend more time on that area on same movement.

However I felt difficulty on pulling  his shoulder and pushing on other side, I need practice because based on my model feedback he liked this movement he felt relieved so I want to do it correctly. Thanks Shama!

Module 32

Final shoulder movements still in side position. With combination of pulling arm while pushing her shoulder was nice feeling however working on scapular was great  on my side because  I felt  the tight  muscle  on that  area but  my model felt pain because she is not  flexible  and  she had a great  feedback  after pain she was felt relieved  and relaxed.

Working under her shoulder with leaning on side torso was easy  for me with arm and shoulder stretched. I still  need to practice  on scapular  area to other model to feel  the difference of flexible and not flexible.

By now you have a pretty extensive shoulder repertoire which should enable you to work on lots of shoulder issues. Try to combine it with the shoulder work in the supine and prone positions, and you could do a very substantial shoulder session. There is more to come about shoulder work in the final modules!
