The advice in massage class is probably a sensible one. Abdominal massage can feel more intimate and it can trigger emotional stuff which is stuck there. Your way around that by asking the client's permission is a good solution.

Module 16 - Shoulders

The lift lean technique is a nice relaxing move especially when you move your hand closer into the neck - the clients love this move.  Clients second favorite technique from this module is the one-side, one hand shoulder lift.  Both of these techniques have been well received from just about every client that has come to the clinic.  I'm have not been able to practice much of the shoulder rowboat or arm-triangle stretch do to getting more clients with history of shoulder issues.

Module 17 - Arms and Hands

Apparently, your arms and hands sequences is so relaxing that it puts people to sleep.  I have practiced this sequence on three different people and it put them all in a very relaxed state and one client was actually snoring :).  It did take a bit of practice to get down the alternating circular arm elephant walk- it's so fun!

Arm and hand massage feels really great. I drift off as well if I get a good one of those. You must be doing something right. Smile

Module 18 - Transition and Spinal Twist

I'm slowly getting better at becoming more fluid with my transitions using the single and double arm traction.  Both versions of the upper spinal twist have been enjoyed by the clients.  Thanks for the reminder of....if you are physically and mentally relaxed...you help your client relax. One of the keys to giving a great massage :)

Module 19 - Summary 2 Upper Body Supine

I totally enjoy the summary modules.  It's so nice to see it all come together and you get to play mix and match of a variety of techniques to suit the clients needs.  Over the weekend I was able to get in four 90 minute sessions with heavy emphasis on the back. The clients that come to the student clinic have been very pleased with the incorporation of the techniques I learn from your videos and the sequence that is taught at the school.  Many have commented that I have a very unique style and look forward to another session with me :)

That's impressive - four 90 minute sessions over the weekend and good feedback - congratulations!
