Yes, the head and face techniques are easy to do technically. The whole trick is to do them with so much feeling and sensitivity so that it feels 'heavenly'!

Module 11 (head 2)

"Combing" the hair with fingertips and back of fingernails reminds me of when I was little and my mother used to gently comb & play with my hair before bedtime.  It put me into a trance.  HHM is so nice to give and to receive.  I realize how important it is to be relaxed yourself.  I tend to forget my own comfort when I practice physical therapy and/or massage.  Now I know it should come first!  I especially like the slow "moving the skin over the skull" to midline & back down.  The thumb leaning on the midline got rave reviews too.

You know, my mother used to do the same to me when I was a little boy, and I loved it. It is still one of my best childhood memories.

Module 12 (Face 1)

Ah! the face!  Any work on the face really needs to be done with extra care and sensitivity.  It's really quite intimate when done on a man or a woman.  The receiver seems very vulnerable and must trust you completely.  I need to remember to keep my touch lighter.  I got some feedback that my pressure was too much.Embarassed

Heavy-handed face massage is a no-no in the Heavenly Head Massage system. However if you do strictly therapeutic face massage you would use oil and work much stronger. Then it is not a trance-inducing feel-good system anymore. So there are two ways how you can do face massage. I didn't address the second method in this course, but I do use it sometimes and am planning to make a follow up video about it.

Module 13 (Face 2)

I had the opportunity to do many of the HHM techniques on a real patient and I used most of the Face 1 & 2 techniques. The patient was tense and irritable during the beginning of our session and had a lot of pain in her hip (7/10).  I worked on her feet, legs, hips and low back using a variety of physical therapy & massage techniques. She still had 7/10 pain in her right hip. 🙁  At the end of that part of the session I spent 30 minutes on HHM and she began to totally relax after about 10 minutes.  At the end of the 30 minutes she opened her eyes and said "that was heavenly!"  woo-hoo!!! exactly what I wanted to hear!  Also her hip pain reduced to 3/10.  That's pretty amazing, I think.

I would be interested in your follow up video on the therapeutic face massage.

Congratulations! With this type of response you must be doing a great job! Yes,that's pretty amazing!

I am actually planning a total overhaul and update of the HHM course with several new modules. I am not sure when exactly I will get this ready because I always have lots of irons in the fire, upgrading something. But once it is ready you will certainly get an email about it.

Module 14 (Energy Work)

I absolutely love the holds.  Some of the people I've been practicing on don't have the patience for this.  They think it's strange and useless. Unfortunately, that's the NYC state of mind.  Rush, rush, rush!  I'm sure if they ever let me do it they will love it and realize it's benefits.  One friend and my daughter-in-law really got into though and felt a deep sense of relaxation and comfort.  I definitely do this with intention and loving kindness.  I so enjoy doing it and helps me relax as well.

I've been practicing Qigong so I totally get moving the energy through my body, gathering it, and passing it to someone else.  I so enjoyed this course Shama!

I am so glad that you enjoyed the course and that you liked the holds. A rushed Heavenly Head Massage is not going to produce any useful results, and the holds are a great way to put people into a blissful trance! I feel sorry for people whose minds are so agitated that they cannot enjoy such a sensation.
