S. RaNae Haddix-Complete Thai Massage Module-31-Side position shoulder work.

I really like the shoulder trapezius stretch. It is so deep and effective. I also like the arm above head/ rotating shoulder this was a new position for me but with some practice I think I will use it quite a bit. Defiantly harder to achieve this kind of range of motion in any other position. This will be grate for frozen shoulder clients.

The side position shoulder work in this course is quite unique. You won't find it taught in other Thai Massage courses. Smile

S. RaNae Haddix-Complete Thai Massage Module-32 Shoulder work in the side position, scapula, trapezius, and lats. Also traction techniques.

Love the Trapezius stretch. Scapula release is super effective. I have several clients with stiff neck and shoulders. This scapula release has been helping release the rhomboids as well as levator scap, upper traps as well. The work under the scapula with thumbs and fingers is was hard on my hands. I had to shift to the side of my hand. What a great way to end or warm up the shoulder with the circling. Can’t wait to learn more.

I know, trying to get under the scapula with your thumbs on clients with a really stiff scapula is hard on your thumbs. Don't do anything that stresses your thumbs. There are plenty of other techniques we can use.

S. RaNae Haddix-Complete Thai Massage Module-33-Sitting position

Receiving work was not as nice as giving  Thai massage in the sitting position. My back wasn’t braced or supported but the spinal twist was nice. I can definitely see how it wouldn't work for many clients. My client thought it was interesting but not his favorite. He did prefer me bracing his head lightly so not to have to hold it up while I was working on his neck.  The neck squeeze with the palms went well and he said it felt good. He seemed to like the shoulder stretches the most. These moves are good to use sometimes.

Complete Thai Massage Module 34 Advanced therapeutic techniques in the sitting position-2

My client really liked the traction and stretches with the sitting work. She especially liked the back stretching as she felt it really opened everything up stabilizing the back with knees. She also really liked the spinal traction.

The back stretch, knees placed under shoulder blades works really well. My client liked it. I thought when I received this stretch it was very comfortable as well. I could have sustained it a little longer if my client likes the stretch as much as I did when I received it.

Working on the neck and traps was fairly easy as my client and I were just the right height. Had she been much taller I would of had to skip this technique.

True, this technique depends somewhat on the size of the client. In general, you seem to be doing quite well with the sitting techniques which are not exactly the easiest ones. Smile

Complete Thai Massage Module 35 Advanced therapeutic techniques- How to explain the healing process, and how to work with clients and not just on them.

I like that you asked if was anything you should know about previous injuries, sprains, breaks, surgery, any areas where she was feeling pain. This was the first thing we were taught in massage school but therapists I have gone to ones that were granted there License before the requirement of certification training, most did not ask. I also liked how you explained the 1-10 method.

You reached the end of the posts which are needed for the certification. So far I can issue you the International Certificate. However you had requested both the International and the CE certificate in your certification registration. For the CE certificate we need the multiple choice test from you which is required by the NCBTMB. So far you have not enrolled in this test.

Are you still planning to do that, or is the International Certificate good enough for you?
