Watched module 1 and practiced tonight. There was definitely a difference in the feeling of the technique when I used my body to lean into the technique verses using my hands and thumbs.  Will definitely need more practice with this technique. Also I love work on the feet as do all of my clients and I am excited to learn more!

I have yet to meet a person who does not like a good foot massage. It is also a very non threatening treatment since it can be done with the client fully dressed, and it can be done in public as is done here in Thailand all over the country.

Using body weight instead of muscle pressure is the secret of good massage in general.

I have been practicing some of the foot techniques with clients on the massage table but really enjoy them more on the mat. I like being able to use knuckles and forearms on the soles of the feet.  My children are getting lots of foot massage. They ask me often if I need to practice and I found that I can do forearms on the bottoms of my own feet!

I have several students who practice on their children, and they all seem to like it. Sometimes I see people bring their children to one of the foot massage places here in Chiang Mai. I really love to see that when children get an early exposure to the pleasure of massage.

I had a great practice session tonight with the work on the feet.  As you know I am taking the Thai massage course and the Thai foot massage course and I feel like I have a good amount to practice on the feet and could spend a whole session on the feet. Getting used the circular 1 2 technique, each time feels better and better. I feel really connected to this work and to your teachings. Thank you!

Yes you can easily do a whole session on the feet. Especially once you get to the second part of the course. There is so much you can do! I always love it when someone feels really connected to this work. That makes my work of producing these courses so much more meaningful for me. Thanks!

Watched module 4 and had the opportunity to practice the forearm and elbows on the soles of the feet many times on the table and twice on the mat. Still working on what is comfortable for which client and working on my correct body mechanics.  I use my hands and thumbs a lot so it is nice to have many new techniques that give my hands and thumbs a rest.

Finished module 5 and enjoyed seeing some of these techniques again from the Thai massage course. You are correct about viewing them again, you pick up more details. It helped me to refine and feel more fluid.  I will be reviewing the other videos as well.  My clients are loving having their feet moved in many different ways and finding it very relaxing.

I had a 1 hour foot massage yesterday. Every time I get one, I think that I would love to have one every single day. Luckily at $4.- per one hour session (this is in Thailand) I could easily afford that if I only had enough time to go downtown. This kind of stand-alone foot massage session that I am talking about here is what you will be learning in the final module of this course. This is such a great skill to have!

I must agree about the toe snapping! I had someone do that in my Thai massage last week and it has never made sense to me.  I am excited about the ankle therapy and have a few clients that will benefit from that.  I have practiced it and it will definitely take me a bit to become fluid at it. Also it was great to see you put the foot work into a flow, that is always so helpful.

I have received so many comments about people liking the 'flow sections', or the summary sections that I am thinking of making some more videos along those lines, where I just show a session in progress.

I studied reflexology in massage school and we were taught to use thumbs and fingers. After watching module 7, I am thrilled to have so many different ways of working with my hands.  I will apply these new ways with my clients tomorrow.

Great, I figured that the info in module 7 would be a game changer for many therapists who work on client's feet.

Congratulations for completing the Thai Foot Massage course! Smile
