I have just finished watching the 11th and final video. In all this course greatly surpassed my expectations. It was really hard for me to pay $100 for a video course, but I'm really glad I did (and so are my friends that I've been practicing on!).
What I liked best was:
-that the video came in parts, so I wasn't overwhelmed at once. At first I was impatient, but then I couldn't keep up...
- compared to other massage classes I've taken it was great to have the whole class on video. I put in on my ipad and could take it to friends to practice.
- I found the whole course very easy to follow. The moves were not complicated and with the help of friends giving me feedback and them listening to the instructions as well I could figure out what I was doing right and wrong. With every practice session I get better and better.
- I really like Shama's teaching style. I like his balance of practical and spiritual, physical and energetic. I liked the moves connected with breathing, and the emphasis on how to touch and less on technique.
I was really lucky to find this course, because I was specifically looking for a rocking modality and I also practice Thai massage and this subject is not available anywhere else.
My only real challenge is that I need to find someone who will show me how these moves feel on me.
And now, I've promised myself to practice just this rocking massage for the next month and to hold back my impulse to immediately purchase another course. It will be hard to decide what to do next!
