I hope so too - actually I get a lot of positive feedback about this course. The recurring theme is that people are happy to find a way to work on the feet without stressing their thumbs so much.

video 9 and 10.   I have found the twisting move, using my whole hand to be very nice, I can use it between different sections of massage, like after using the knuckles on the top of the foot.  It relaxes the client after a more firm work.  I also love the way the video shows toe work.  In reflexology I find some people use way to much force on the toe and it hurts!  The rubbing motion hits all the points without causing so much discomfort.  I have tried the Thai stick for the toes, but the clients prefer the knuckle of my thumb to the stick.  It feels nicer and is not so ruff.  I can use the stick on the pressure points of the sole, but there again clients prefer my hand.  Also, one of my favorites, the range of motion pushing the top of the foot down, up and then pressing on the sides of the foot to be a good ending, as well as the twisting motion.

I do wonder why we don't work the heel of the foot more?

I am happy to say I have gone through all 10 videos in the foot massage course.  I am very pleased with the style of education.  I learn by observation and doing so these videos have been wonderful for me.  Just reading something does not help me much.  I have had wonderful practice sessions to solidify the information in my mind. Now I need to find a routine that fits me.  With all the new choices I have it is going to take a bit of work to get comfortable.  I continue to re-watch the videos to remind me of what I can do.  I do have a bit of anxiety over the test for my certification, I have always been that way but, I will press forward!Laugh

I personally never get a foot massage with sticks, only with hands. I just don't like the feeling of the stick.

The reason why I don't get so much into heel work is because the heels tends to be more rough and tough than the rest of the foot and it can be hard on your fingers. However if you can handle it you can certainly work the heel  much more.

There is no test for your certification. You signed up for the International certification, and all that requires is to do the forum posting. The test is only required for those who choose the CE Certification, i.e. US licensed therapists who need continuing education hours to maintain their licence.

So as of now you are eligible for the International Certificate. If you need CEUs, then you would need to register for the test questions. The link is in your course manual or you can access it via this link:
