As a new therapist I feel uncomfortable if Im not moving my hands. I am concerned that my client will wonder why isnt she massaging me. I want to send a peaceful energy to my client not a self-conscious one. Any suggestons on how to handle that lack of confidence if Im doing a hold?
This is an interesting question. As a young therapist I had to deal with the same question, and I had an experience which made it clear to me. It's a bit too long of a story for here, but I think I will do a live video about it in our facebook group as I am sure you are not the only one who is wondering about that.
However, just to summarize the conclusion quickly, in my many years of experience with practicing Heavenly Head Massage, not only do clients love those final holds, but some of them consider them the highlight of the session.
In most cases they are so far gone to trance-land at that point in the session, that they are barely aware of what you are doing. The last thing on their mind is to analyze what you should be or should not be doing. In the end the only thing that matters is that we provide a heavenly experience for them, and those holds are doing exactly that, if you do them as shown in the course.
