How did that happen, completely lost my typing when I added the smiley face. Take two
Module 1. I love your rocking techniques, finally getting around to doing the Thai Rocking Massage course. got robbed, lost my phone and computer and all my other massage course videos. So was timely to receive notification of this one. Lovely being back into the routine of receiving, watching and practicing video modules. I am totally in love with rocking. See how it works on physical, emotional and psychological levels. You are preaching to the converted with me. Can't wait to get into the coming course videos
Module 2. Great revision going over the health of the hip and how to see what is locked and tight and what to do. The Chi Machine is a great method to get energy going and relax someone and also to connect with a client and get into synch. The Traction rock is amazing. Never seen this before, love it. A great way to start the course, enjoying myself, as always.
Thanks Shama, great to be back on line.

Module 3.
Fantastic in depth learning on working with the leg which of course works the hip. With again in depth instructions on how to keep body posture integrity and work on the other side of the leg so we can choose which techniques to use according to how locked up a hip is i.e either difficulty rolling out laterally or medially. Then a technique if still locked up after lots of rocking. Loved it.
Module 4.
Introducing the squeezing and lifting which deepens the therapeutic effect, the knee work and then the great compression and traction circular movements then back and forward. These are great. Have used the circular move before. cliients love it. The gentle rocking back and forward is also very soothing for someone who feels locked and compressed. Very effective. Great way to loosen adductors, gentle letting go and pushing up,great for switched on muscles, massage along the muscle line Gentle Knee traction with buttocks off the floor is also great.
Been wanting to do this course for a long time. Are you able to help out with links to the courses I have already done? I lost all my backups when the usb's went, was in the laptop. Devastated to loose all that but I do have all my hand written notes. anyway, fallen a bit behind, but catching up. Busiest time of the year for me. Will report on Module 5 & 6 shortly.

Module 5
Hip joint rotation. I have used these may times, using the hip pie, and the zig zagging down, or gently rocking increasing the stretch gradually. Love these moves and do them on myself regularly.
Resting the clients leg on therapist's thigh to gently rock the adductor is also fantastic. The gentle spinal twist with rocking is also fantastic, use this all the time, so easy, so gentle, but effective.
Module 6
Hip rocking sideways and the variations, hands fingers, adjustments for male clients and moving up the outside of the body to include ribs right up to the armpits. Pulling up the hip and pushing down is also a great way to gently loosen hop and lower back. The art of keeping rocking going and changing sides is always good to revise. Love your work.
Shama, I think course by course would be better than all at once. Thank you so much. I have been experimenting to give myself rocking motions. It is amazing how much you can actually do on yourself. Love rolling around on the floor and seeing what movements stretch what part of the body, was surprised to see I could give myself abdominal massage quite easily. And by lifting my knees high on my chest and wiggling my hips, get a great mid back massage against the floor with buttocks floating. Fantastic, you know how much I love rocking. Loving this course, as always.

Module 7
Stretching out client over therapist thighs and using arms to gently rock the body using hip movements, great. The side to side rocking with clients buttocks off the floor and hooked over therapist knee is a good one but quite tricky to make happen. Not great at this yet. But love the concept. Abdominal rocking - love this. Do this on myself. Working on supine tummy and then the two hands with one on top and one underneath and working together, then using one had to control as the other moves up the ribcage and back again, working from hip to belly to ribcage with these rocking techniques. Can't wait for the next module.
Module 8
Ribcage rocking, sternum circles, sternum circling rocking then the perpendicular up and down rocks, all great. Integrating the breath and measured increasing and decreasing pressure with breathing in and out are lovely extensions of this rocking. Bringing great connection with movement and energy. The shoulder perpendicular rocking keeping the ratio of stretch within 60-70% of capacity, again using breath is effective for releasing locked tissue. the alternate sideway rocking, is again very effective. The shoulder circles, increasing to rocking, then the alternate shoulder circling are also very effective. Love the smooth transitions you make when changing from side to side. I am no where as graceful and fluid but getting better. Loving being back into learning, but Xmas and New Year and visiting family are slowing me up. Have a great Christmas and a flowing, abundant, joyful New Year.

Module 9
Working on releasing holding patterns in shoulder and arm. The back and forth and circular rocking then the up and down with slight stretch effect, great for releasing this tension. Engaging client in focused imagination, visualisation, breath are fantastic ways to break through this locking up of muscles. The perpendicular movement reminds me of getting kinks out of a hose. changing the angles of the arm to the body also deepens and facilitates opening. Love the rolling of the arm with different intensities and rocking levels. Putting it all together was a joy to watch.
Module 10
Sacrum and Back. Working on sacrum and hip in tangent with rocking, then transitioning to work on other side, this is great for giving a gentle stretch to the SI Joint and increasing movement. Circular movements to the sacrum, so beneficial for client, then bringing in the glutes work, just fantastic.Switching between left hand stationery and right hand stationery and moving around the whole area, again, so effective to loosen up this whole area and release tension. Thumbs to intensify work if patient ratio OK and of course bringing in the knees. I love this move. Have been using it for a long time when working on the Scrum area but love seeing it extended with the rocking. Using both hands to work on back area, with leaning in to increase pressure on erectors and all the different rhythmic counts that can be used, very useful. Looking forward to last module. Great course.

Module 11
More work up and down the spine using sacram rocking with erector work, then the zig zag erector rocking, stretching and toning the tissue without over reaching max stretch, great. Love the shoulder blade circles increasing to rocking to loosen and extend range of movement. Wiggling for upper back then extension from groove to more coverage of erectors, then whole hand. Fantastic effects. great variations. The scapula - hooking under and rocking into the extension, and the circular scapula movements, great for those who can put their arms in this position and be flexible enough to open out. Lastly but not least the lovely circular shoulder stretching that can extend into upper back twist with gentle rocking, Loved this course, have been wanting to do it for a couple of years. Really enjoyed every minute.
I have loved this course from beginning to end. After doing so many, have seen how valuable your version of Thai massage is. With all the latest discoveries re fascia and various treatments developing to assist tissue repair, I can see how relevant this therapy is. Circular, wiggling, rhythmic, stretching, and particularly rocking are fantastic methods for helping to break down scar tissue and return movement and glide. I have now done almost all of your courses, and rocking is such a favourite for me. Rocking, hitting us on deep psychological levels, so healing, relaxing and positive to the body. Thanks so much for your unique and insightful teaching. Much gratitude and appreciation to you.
