Module 1

Hello Shama.

I was so eager to get stuck into learning new techniques. After watching the intro and overview video I have a much better idea of what thai massage is all about and what to expect. Before starting I had already planned to adapt to a massage table but now I will focus on learning the proper way and how you teach it.

Im excited about learning more about working with the energy flow and not focusing on anatomy.

ive also started practising sitting on the mat in the evenings to get used to the feeling. I know I will get sore muscles but look forward to getting passed that stage.

i love your teaching style and look forward to learning from you.

Thank you

Hi Lola, welcome to our forum and to the Complete Thai Massage certification program.

To make sure that everything is set up correctly, I always post a link to our certification check list in the beginning of all threads as a reference for you:

Certification Check List

I am glad to hear that you decided to give the floor version a try. It will definitely be an advantage for you. You will have better ergonomics, an easier and larger space to work on, and access to more techniques.

This is exactly the way how to go about getting used to sitting on a mat – do a little every day, and after a while your body will get totally used to it.

I am happy to hear that you like my teaching style, and I am looking forward to supporting you during your Thai Massage journey! Smile

Module 2

I picked up the chi machine move pretty quickly. I did find it hard work on my arms even though my hands were resting on my thighs and found my heart rate picked up a bit and a cramp in my foot. I practise on my husband who used to receive a Thai massage regularly. He said he felt a tingling in his legs and back mostly and felt a feeling of release and lightness. He felt relaxed and free. He said it felt the same as when he got it from the massage shop which made me excited.i can’t wait for him to do it to me so I can experience that feeling.

It should not be hard work on your arms. The movement comes entirely out of your pelvis. Imagine that your pelvis is filled with water and you are shaking your hips sideways to make the water slosh up against the insides of your hips. That’s the feeling you want to generate. All your hands are doing is keeping the heels of your partner in place on your thighs.
