Module 1

Hello,

I'm not great at forums, my brain can't quite make sense of the set ups, so I find I'm always struggling, but I do want my CE's, so please bear with me.

I watched the videos through a first time once

already.

I find that they are super thoroughly written, I appreciate the detail and time taken for each step of the way, but I do find myself wishing there was an option to speed them up a bit. I've taken other courses online and they offer the option to slow down or speed up the videos.

This would be really helpful to me because I have been practicing massage for many years now and am familiar with most of the basic details given. I'm not saying that it's useless information, often it's nice to have the reminders, but when I'm taking a class I want to learn new stuff...so I find myself tortured through the basics until I get to finally get to the new stuff at the end.

I appreciate the detail and slowness for the beginner learner...but it would be most ideal to have the option of getting those basic reminders at a quicker speed and ability to slow down for the new stuff....makes for a tortuously slow majority of the first video.

I'll be re watching the videos and posting as I get along through them.

I enjoy this outlet for learning some more thai massage, from home.

Thank you,

Lisl

Hi Lisl, welcome to our forum community.

I can see why there is some confusion here. Actually we do not offer CEUs for the Knee massage therapy course normally. That's why you never saw all the information on how to navigate the forum, how to sign up for the certification program, how to use the forum, etc.

All our courses for which we provide CEUs have very specific information in their course manuals how to go about all those things. Since your course manual does not have all this information, you didn't know it, and therefore some things are not set up right. Here is a checklist of the certification process:

Certification Checklist

I will correct some of these items for you since I can do it quicker than you can.

Since apparently you really want the CEUs, I will make an exception and issue you a CE certificate when you are done with your forum posts. We actually have the knee therapy course listed on the NCBTMB website as a CE course with 5 CE credits, but we never implemented it since it is one of our smaller specialty courses, and most people prefer our larger courses to get more CEUs. But you can get those 5 CEs. Smile

Just for your reference, this page lists all our CE courses:

And this page outlines the certification process in detail:
Certification Tutorial

Regarding the speed of the course - I am not sure if you are referring to the speed of delivery, of the playback speed of the videos. If you are talking about the speed of delivery (one video every two days), that cannot be changed. However the playback speed can easily be changed. If you download the videos, and play them in the popular and free VLC media player, you can increase or decrease the speed in whatever way you like. There is a windows and a mac version.
