Module 1

Have just watched the first module online and cant wait to get started.

I usually use a massage couch but looking at how it seems to flow easier on the floor I may invest in a floor mat. Will try it both ways and decide from there.

Can this massage be performed on children? I understand the pressure will be different

Hi Lisa, welcome to the Heavenly Head Massage course and our forum. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our certification checklist:
Certification Check List

Heavenly Head Massage can be done on a floor mat or on a massage table equally well. I have done it both ways, so it's a matter of preference. You can definitely use the techniques on children. Actually one of my best childhood memories is when my mother used to rub my head at night when I went to sleep.

You probably would not want to do some of the chest and neck techniques on young children since they won't need them and won't enjoy them as much as the head and the face massage part of the course.

Just watched module 2, looks quite straight forward although not sure how I will manage with a large chested lady as I have small hands.

I don't think that this will be much of an issue. Here in Thailand pretty much all therapists are small women with small hands, and they manage to work on all sizes of clients. Anyway, you don't have to use every single technique on every client. You can use those that you like and you can do easily. Smile

Module 3

Very indepth lesson, thank you for being so thorough.

Practised this on my husband and he loved it, definitely need lots of practice on lifting the shoulder so it flows effortlessly. Did practise on the floor so be interesting to see if its any easier using a massage couch, will let you know as soon as I can how that goes.

Didn't get chance to practise module 2 yesterday as lady changed the treatment she wanted but did the whole routine on my husband tonight as I explained above

If you do use a table, just make sure to lower it enough so that you can easily reach all the areas without straining. In my case that means that the table is just a little higher than my knees. You can experiment what feels best for you.

Module 4

Enjoyed this part of the routine as its similar to what I do in my massage routines already so should be able to remember it easily.

Learning this course bit by bit is easier to follow than I thought it would beSmile

"Inch by inch it's a cinch", as the old saying goes. It's definitely better than having it all on one CD without any structure or gradual learning process. In this way you are reminded every couple of days to keep on practicing, whereas it is easy to put a CD on the shelf until you "get around to it" which might never happen. Smile
