"I think these instances also have to do with inflammation in the body and if one has toxicity within the body. You mentioned acidosis. I think this being prominent will also produce a pain response during or after the massage. So individual physical chemical makeup and physiological processes in the body can cause this." - Absolutely correct. If the body is acidic and toxic, there is a much bigger chance of painful response.

Advanced Thai Massage Skills Module 6
As a Thai massage therapist, I prefer Thai techniques exactly for the reasons of not overusing or tiring your body. I was pleased to find the leaning on spine technique more ergonomic for me, instead of the using the elbow roll. That's the beauty of Thai techniques, just like all bodies one size fit all, the same goes for form and function of the movement used. The different types of movements can produce similar stretches and effects, therefore if one style of position doesn't work, another might work perfectly.
"The different types of movements can produce similar stretches and effects, therefore if one style of position doesn't work, another might work perfectly." - That's exactly why I created these modules - to have options and choices available. I know from personal experience that the more options we have, the more we have to work with, the better results we can get, and the better we can protect our own health.

I still haven't incorporated any knee work yet. I think to start using these techniques with larger clients and possibly those who are regulars. As they are more willing to participate in new techniques and give feedback to better the session.

I have used another spinal twist technique, where you reach around the client and take their wrists. It is a drop forward and swing motion. This is more intense than the arm twist. Either one would be effective, one for those more flexible and the other for those with less mobility.

You mentioned in the text here about props such as ropes and bars. I am also a Ashiatsu therapist, which uses bars and feet. There is a big difference in this style of massage and Thai massage.
Great thought about raising my height with a cushion, especially with larger clients. Perhaps this is something to try under my knees as well, just to bring my height to a more ergonomic level when necessary. The knee pillows you have in the video, is there a place to purchase these or a specific suggested brand? I use two smaller pillows for myself and client, but the ones you have in video look very comfortable for all uses.
Well, I did it. Finally finished this awesome and extensive course. I will now complete the CE exam. I really appreciated the way the platform works and the dynamic content. Thank you!
"The knee pillows you have in the video, is there a place to purchase these or a specific suggested brand?" - Everything you see in the videos is something which I bought in Thailand since this is where I filmed all the videos. I know that these Thai pillows are also sold in the western world, like on Amazon. But I have no idea about what brands they are sold as.
Thanks for posting about all the bonus modules. You are the first one ever to have done that!

I enjoyed continuing the discussion. Plus that's how I learn, and learning takes effect after the fact. If I should have any questions or thoughts, I will always ask.
I completed the CE test and am ready to receive my certificates.
It has been a pleasure, and I am sure we will be in touch as my career in Thai Massage is developing even more.
