Being an ole hippie myself the pie analogy works good for positions of the leg.I like that we have so many choices to use on all the different body types. This time my partner enjoyed all the calf muscle massaging I did. In the stabalizing their foot in the groin area I forgot to hold it in and her foot fell out.So thats how you remember for next time. lol Eventually I will have a set of favorites and implore them to the best.

Everyone likes the "hip pie" concept, it makes it much easier to understand the whole process. And yes, all those choices are what will enable you to make it your own, be creative and pick out what works best for you and your clients.

Continuing with leg stretches, evaluating clients flexibility and adding to the pie positions.Partner really enjoying the calf massage and rotating hip to loosen up.Also rocking gently and pushing slowly with whole body.Good to know alternative ways to do all this with a bigger heavier person.

We had a big snow storm here so busy with snow removal hence the delay in input to my notes (lol).

Adding to the pie.Giving us variations of the stretches is so helpful to me when one doesn,t feel comfortable another one can.getting the feed back from partner is simple as just asking,"how does that feel"?Some of these power stretches will be used down the road, when they are more flexible. So staying aware of thier comfort, breathing into it and using whole body with power and softness is my goal.

That's the importance of having several choices instead of just knowing one sequence. Smile

Module #10

I am so glad you mentioned the Hara in this one.Staying soft and breathing from power center makes all the difference. The adductor stretch was taken well with this partner. The toe lift was unfamiliar, but will continue to work on that with others.bloodstop technique was felt nicley. need to practice smooth change from one side to the other. Holding her ankle in the air we started laughing I forgot how to manuver around. All ok though She still enjoyed me practicing on her.

So many different calf stretches.I work on mostly women and so far I am always taller than they are so it works well for me.(I have short friends). These stretches i did very gently did not want to push or pull to excessivley. I want them to come back.lol.The step through was tricky but i will try it again to see if I feel more comfortable with it.Swinging their legs back and forth was not a problem. They enjoyed it all.

Module#13

Always at the beginning of a session when I am talking with client I ask them to tell me when something is too uncomfortable. I have no problems with that.Yesterday  a new person told me she had tight hips, but the way her feet fell out and the extent of some of the  hip stretches. She was  not as tight as others i have worked on.She really enjoyed the stretches and will refer me to some of her customers. She is a hair dresser,so i am getting an exchange for her session with color and a cut. yippee I love bartering.

Great, you are getting referrals already. By the way, there is an entire module at the end of the course which gives you a good strategy how to use effective communication tools with your clients.

Transitoning is getting more fluid the more i do this without thinking too much about it.i have already been doing hip rocking.I like this new one of pulling on the small of the back then pushing gently back. You can slip this in a routine without too much thought.

Module# 15

My client really enjoyed the abdomen massage. We talked about some scarring from an operation she had yrs ago. This person has experience my progression in Thai massage right from the beginning. She says she feels the confidence and fluidity of my movements as I progress. She has employeed me to do a session with her sister when she comes to visit her as a gift to her .So i must be doing something right. She understood the consept of the massage ing of the thymus, sternum, below the collar bone because of the lymphs there.

Module #16

Staying connected as I transition is in my awareness now.The shoulder work was recieved nicely, but I felt as though I was looming over her. I think that was just me because she enjoyed the shoulder, neck stretching. When I did the elbow over and back she said wow i didntknow I could do that. She liked that stretch as well.I did forget a couple of things while doing this .but she had no idea so it went well. I will remember next time to kneed the upper arm while in that postion.

Sounds like great feedback - clearly you must be doing something right!

Don't worry about looming over the client. Generally they have their eyes closed and don't even notice. And if they do notice - well, that's just how it's done in Thai Massage. Without the looming over the client you would never get the most power with the least effort. The fact that you get on top of the clients in Thai Massage enables you to use your body much more effectively than when you have to lean over a massage table.

yes in order to correctly and with the least amount of effort the elephant walk must be done that way.I just dont look down ,I look out.No worries. It is the nature of the healing with this.It was just my first impression is all.I am So loving all of this. And the way you teach is coming from the heart.

Once you get into the rythym of this the arm and hand massages are very soothing to your client. I didn't do every single one you demonstrated and it stll lasted a good length of time. They loved it and it felt good to me as well.

I liked the demo on different ways to transition from one side to the other.Different opptions is good in bigger and smaller spaces.Being I travel to their homes. It is always different.

Leaning back while holding their arms over head felt like a good traction, they liked it.The alternate back twist wil trake some practice, might not use that one,but its good to know.

The straddle alternating shoulder pull was liked as well and havent tried it on a heavier person yet.

I have a new person on Friday so I will see how that goes.

Module#18 Upper body summary

What a great dance of techniques and energy flow.Watching  you use your whole body with such good  ease.Quantum healing energy awareness. Pulling it up into your head and down your arms and out your hands. That was great. I usually pull energy up through mother earth through my legsthrough my heart chakra then out my arms and hands.I try to keep my head out of the equazition.lol I am willing to try a different approach to see how it feels. sure. A good module.
