Heavenly Head Massage Module #1

I felt a little awkward performing the first session of this module, but after practicing I feel more relaxed. I can understand why one must be relaxed and remember what you should and should not do.  I feel that the Heavenly Head Message Course is a bit more challenging than the previous Foot Massage Course I took. But, I am up for the challenge.

Hi Jessie, you are right, the Heavenly Head Massage course is a bit more challenging since it is very unique material and requires quite a bit of subtlety. However once you are done with it, you will have some very unique and special skills. There is a wide range of material in this course. Although it is all done in a relatively small area compared to whole-body massage, the techniques are totally different between chest, neck, and head.

It is fairly typical that the chest work feels a little awkward in the beginning, but once you get over that you will most likely get very positive comments from people who have never been touched there and appreciate the attention there.

I have full faith in you that you are up to the challenge! Smile

Heavenly Head Massage Module #2

The picture of the chest showing where the sternum and the "soft spot" are located is very helpful to me. I understand how and where to position my hands and where the thumbs are to be placed and that synchronizing my breathing with the client is very important.  After practicing the various techniques, the rocking technique is the one I will go to first because of the soothing effect it gives.  The second one is the tapping with the fingers or the fist.

Nothing wrong with focusing on the techniques that come to you easily. You don't have to do them all, and you can always add more of them later.

Heavenly Head Massage Module #3

I am doing well using the techniques in this module.  Using the flat part of the thumb and the heel of the hand techniques for working on the chest area are good. I really enjoy using the Elephant Walking and the hand-over-hand techniques.  Although I am doing better with this module, I am going to continue to practice.

Now you will start with the neck modules. It is definitely important to start each practice session with a repetition of the chest work until it starts to feel like second nature for you.

Heavenly Head Massage Module #4

I will start each practice session with chest work. After practicing for a while, I was able to perform this module with, surprisingly, ease. The video showing how to position the ring, middle and index fingers was very, very good.  The only thing is that I will not be able to do the "wave" technique.  I will be working on a massage table.  Getting down and up it quite difficult for me. If I register for the Rocking Massage, will this module cover the "wave" techinque?

You can easily skip the "Wave" technique. It is nice, but optional. As you will see, there are so many neck techniques that you don't have to do them all.

The "Wave" technique is not included in the Thai Rocking Massage course since it is not really a rocking motion. There are some gentle rocking techniques coming up in the HHM course that move the head and neck.

Heavenly Head Massage Module #5

I enjoyed practicing the techniques in this module. Again, the clarity of the videos, I enhance the size, is very good.  The slow movement of each technique, believe it or not, relaxed me. So far this module is my favorite.  I will continue to practice all of the previous modules.

I know how you feel. At the end of a Heavenly Head Massage session, I, as the giver, feel just as relaxed as the receiver. It's like my meditation. You will see exactly what I mean when you get to module 14. Smile

Heavenly Head Massage Module #6

I find this module similar to module #5 but more intense. Working with the head off the massage table is getting better with practice. Remembering to always lean forward does help this technique along with the positioning of the fingers.  I will continue to practice.  I'm getting better.

As long as you keep practicing and your heart is in it, there is no doubt that you will get better! Smile

Heavenly Head Massage Module #7

The techniques in this module are very interesting, and yes they are very complex. After reviewing the video, several times, I began to slowly catch on to the methods of the positioning my hands while making sure the neck and head are protected. I don't have a good flowing technique, yet.

The flow will take time. The neck techniques are the most complex moves of the entire course, and there is no way that they just flow "right out of the box". With plenty of time and practice, it will all end up feeling very easy. Smile

Heavenly Head Massage Module #8

Practicing this module was good even though there were a couple neck techniques that will take more practice (figure 8 and the one where you lift the head up 45 degrees).  The others, after a little practice, flowed very well, and I like the "wiggle technique."

Heavenly Head Massage Module #9

The ear massage is very interesting.  I did not know, until now, that there was such a thing. I enjoyed practicing all the techniques in this Module. The one that surprised me the most was the inner ear massage with the thumb. The scissor technique was fun also. Although I found these techniques easy to practice, I will continue to practice them along with all the others.

I have heard that from many course students - that they had no idea that you can do so much with ear massage. Another comment I often get is that clients love ear massage. Smile

Heavenly Head Massage Module #10

This module was very, very enjoyable practicing. I think I am getting the hang of it. As with all the others modules, I will continue to practice until the techniques become second nature. I observed that these techniques started relaxation a little quicker than the other modules.

Yes, you got through the "action section" of the course with all the neck work. Head and face massage are much more relaxing and meditative. There will be some more "action" in the neck therapy section in a later module.

Heavenly Head Massage Module #11

The continuation of the techniques in Module #10 was fun practicing.  The grabbing of the hair, had not heard of that one before, was very good.  As the practice session techniques progressed the more I could sense a deeper relaxation.  I am beginning to enjoy the practice sessions. In fact, looking forward to continuing to practice.
