On module 1 -I normally use a table so I feel that I did start doing this technique usually as a starting/ ending depending on session. I did learn that you need to adjust the difference depending on size of client. I usually always stay aware of my clothing to not drape over clients- I hate when therapists do that to me. Client likes when I have connect breath to create a wave effect & sometimes feels that we’re connected to the music also.

On module 2- I learned a lot since I seemed to avoid the area because I felt clients maybe uncomfortable. My MT teacher mentioned some of the moves, but I forgot them & it was a good refresher to learn again & now starting to practice. I haven’t had any bad feedback- always usually have happy clients. I’m working to synchronize my breath. I do like the thymus tap- I remember doing in class, but had forgotten it!
Hi Jennifer, welcome to the Heavenly Head Massage certification program. I read in another post that you had some issues figuring out the forum. You had originally registered for the certification back in March, so maybe you forgot some of the details when you first read the Certification Tutorial page.
But it seems to me that you are doing fine navigating the forum. If you need a refresher, you can re-watch the second video on the 'Certification Tutorial' page which you can access by clicking on the 'Certification Information' banner in the sidebar of your membership portal. This video has a step-by-step walk-through of the forum.
Also please take a minute and familiarize yourself with our certification checklist to make sure that it is all correctly organized:
By the way, there is no need to quote your previous post since it is just a duplication. Just click on the 'Add Reply' button and write 'Module 3' on top of your next post.

Module 3- I learned a lot in this lesson since didn’t spend much time on sternum & arm pits, but working to practice this area more now. I haven’t gotten any bad feedback- most people don’t realize that they have a lot of tension in breast area. I was trained that this is an area we need permission to massage, so I avoid going into detail there unless client requested. I’m working to practice this on table more & floor mainly when home with family & they want instant massage.

Module 4- I’m still working to perfect the wave- this is taking sometime. I’m excited once I feel more comfortable working with clients using it. My family always enjoys me practicing since they have a lot of neck issues & like this move. I feel it’s easier on a smaller person than bigger for me- Should there be a difference depending on client size or just takes more practice/ strength with larger body frame?
The way to deal with working on the chest area is to tell clients before you start the session that Heavenly Head Massage is work on the chest, neck, head, and face. Then it is clear that you will work on the chest, and then this doesn't require permission. Permission kind of sounds like you might be doing something wrong or inappropriate. I don't like the permission concept since there is nothing wrong whatsoever with working on the chest as long as you don't get right on top of the female breasts which obviously no therapist does.
Sure, client's size will affect your work. It is often more challenging to work on people who are much heavier than you are. But this only applies to very few techniques in Heavenly Head Massage. It is more of an issue in Thai Massage.

Module 5- The neck was one of the main reasons that I chose this program. I really liked the way that you can move the hair out of the way while still doing a massage. I knew some of the techniques, but was able to gain/ widen my knowledge with more direction & practice. This was a fun session. I like usually to usually use oil on the neck as a feel most have dry skin unless we’re in a public setting/ can’t get on clothes.

Module 7
This was a great one that showed me new stretching techniques that can really help with the tough clients. I think my favorite was the sideways neck stretching into the full circle, but also enjoyed the traction & blocking head to lock into place- it made them feel more secure.

Module 8
This was another great one that showed me even more stretching techniques like a figure 8 neck stretching & wiggles. They enjoyed these new tools as I continue use them but I feel it can take some time to feel like you’ve mastered them. It was nice how it ends at the occipital ridge to get started on ears.

Module 9
The ears are an area I don’t spend much time on- I always feel it’s awkward so this was nice to see some new techniques or those I may have forgotten since school. I know many have done the hold on me & now I know why & that I need it to stay focused & centered within. So now I know how to massage the ears also & feel more comfortable with it.

Module 11
It was great to learn even more techniques most I haven’t really done much especially in midline. It feels more comfortable now that I know some new moves to do & learning about moving hair around effectively while in session to make it flow. Also liked the 3rd eye friction to wake up those senses.

Module 12
It was nice how last one we ended & now start at 3rd eye to activate energy starting on face now. I learned so many new moves to really work those muscles for those that want a good face massage . There are some that don’t want face done because they have other areas that are bothering them more.

Module 14
I liked learning about all of the holds which remind me kind of doing Reiki but it was different positions. This was nice to learn since some people just really need the energy work to learn to relax & it also helps us as therapists to stay focused on client. I enjoyed learning about the Hara/ Quantum Touch & excited to expand my energy work within my practice.

Module 16
This was a very needed course for these types of people with short, stiff heavy necks. I have used the pillow case sometimes before but thinking of having a specific cloths just for neck stretching so don’t have to remove from face cradles. My mother really loves the Vertical Neck Lift with Traction! Ya
