The Thai Rocking Massage course is really the perfect complement to the Complete Thai Massage course. It is what is mostly responsible for making my style unique. You will also learn a lot more about it in the course you are taking now.

Was nice to see it all come together.  Do you recommend working your way up the leg or move back and forth? Say foot outer calf outer thigh then inner calf inner thigh..or just do whole calf at once and then upper leg?recommend

You know, there really is no hard and fast rule about that. For example, if someone has a problem with the calf, then it makes sense to spend extra time on it and just stay on the calf for a while. However you can also work your way up the leg on one side and then on the other. Here in Thailand is is done both ways.

For me it often comes down to what is most practical. For example, you can easily reach the outer leg on the near side and the inner leg on the far side without moving around the body, and then you could switch to the other side and repeat the process. This one works well if you use primarily leg rocking techniques.

If you use a different set of techniques, then it might be more practical and convenient to just work on the calf of one leg and then on the thigh of the same leg. I have done it both ways, and it just depends on the set of techniques which I choose and on where the clients needs extra attention, if any.

Thank you for the responce on the last modual..

I think the time spent at the hips is crucial to the overall effectiveness of the massage, tight hips equal limited movement. Liked the movement sequence,  my question is do you use any type of pelvic tilt in Thai massage?or am i getting ahead of myself..

Yes, you are getting ahead of yourself! Smile There is a huge number of techniques to move the pelvis. Many are in the Complete Thai Massage course, and there are even more in my Thai Hip Therapy course.

i absolutely loved the hip compress elephant walk with the clients knee supported on the clients thigh excellent for the it band and attachments to the glutes..also using the word discomfort instead of pain..not incouraging the client to think of pain.

Great moves for the hips, so much movement is required by the proper functioning of the hip joint. The hip rocking also feels great on the lower lumbar and tail bone. The transitions are smooth as well, great lesson..

I liked the fact you included the abdomen. .i have myself recieved thai massage and they never went near this area. I feel this is an important area for relaxing the body, and as a Reiki Madter the comment abour listening to what your hands pick up was spot on..

The fact is that here in Thailand the Thai Massage therapists almost never touch the abdomen. That's why I felt there was a real need for some abdominal techniques, and I added it to the course. I even created a more in depth course just about abdominal massage

This is one of my favorite videos,  you just cant get the deep compression from normal massage as you do in the video..As well the attention to supporting the shoulder to help prevent movement give the client and the person giving the massage,  a sense of comfort as to not compressing to deep..great video!!

Module 19

This was nice again to see it all come together and show how it should look. Nice to have options for movements,as well easier to understand sequence after completing lower body work..

Iprefer the use of elbows,I find I can stabilize my pressure over an area much easier. Also it becomes much easier on the person giving the massage as not to over tax the fingers and wrist..

That's a good rule of thumb - whenever you can replace your fingers or hand with another body part, do it. It's good for your longevity as a therapist.

Again great attention to the positioning of the clients joints while applying pressure with the forearms. I think stabilizing is one of the most important factors that are overlooked by a lot of our massage therapists I have been to here in Canada, at least from my experience.

Great options for the multiple stretches, one problem i find is people lack alot of flexability when it come to syretching the quads. FRom the prone this majes it much easier..

This was a great modual, the sacrum work feels great and the knees on the glutes is also helpful if yousit up just abit your weight pushes the hipsback and down, which inturn lift the front of the pelvis up. I was showed this once by my freind who is a massage therapist, good for relieving pressure..
