Module 1 Traction Neck and shoulders

I really like what Shama spoke about with intention. Friday July 21 I had a female client who when she came to see me she only had 45 minutes for me to work. She was slouching and told me that she was very stressed. I followed what module 1 showed about the simple neck holding and lightly squezzing her Sternocleidomastoid. But not just that I did the lean into her shoulders and the breathing and light leaning into. And for just a moment the sending energy of love and intention of letting go. When she was done she,was standing straight and she told me that whatever I did shenow could move her head and neck without any restraints. It really changed and helped her.

Hi Heather, welcome to the Heavenly Head Massage certification program. I moved your post over from where you had posted it originally, so now it is in the right place.

Please take a moment and familiarize yourself with our certification check list to make sure that it is all organized correctly:

You got quite an impressive result there in your first session with this course. Can’t wait to hear what you will do with the rest of the course! Smile

Module 2

I spent two days, watching and rewatching this module.  I have since performed the hand over the chest area on my daughter, very lightly. She happens to like this, gentle wiggling. Even though I go in small circles it relaxes her.

Ive also used this technique on a male client of mine who had some really serious chest and rib area restrictions where he could raise his arm very high. I followed around the clavicle really closely, but what help him was the actual pect work. It released his entire shoulder area where he could move his shoulder. Very nice to see results.

Module 3

I really like the palm placements on the side of the pects. I again was able to use this technique on a gentleman recently where his entire right side latts were also constricted.  I think releasing the pects helped release the lattisimas dorsi muscles on the sides. I really like also the twist. Though I have not used this. Im sure in the next week I will.

Module 4

After watching Module 4 several times I found a way to do the wave and still get results from clients laying on the table. I stick a small face rest under and it lifts their neck off the bed. My experience with neck work is that many clients just dont get proper neck work. Many therapist barely even touch the neck. Several years ago I learned and neck technique that really works to lenghthen the neck and is gentle. The wave is something that I was already doing but if done for a few minutes it warms the neck and relaxes it. Ive been doing this wave on clients for the last week. One lady in particular said that it stops the burning!

Ive also had some success with a client who plays the violine. Around the tops of her shoulders. It helps to relax the levator muscle. Its an excellant tool.

The wave on the table – that’s an interesting one. I’d love to see how you do that.

I agree – good neck work is kinda hard to come by in general, including in Thai Massage. That’s why I made a course to fill this gap.
