Module 1
Namaste Shama Kern
I have been a massage therapist for 21 years now , when I first went to massage school yes they did cover other modalities that were being used throughout the US. As a massage therapist I do agree that alot of the schools do focus on the anatomy of things and not so much energy depending on the instructor and thier background. I personally incorperated a flow of movement to my techniques with energitic intent focused to that part of the body to which I was working on. During that time growing I have been interested in Thai Massage for such reasons as you have mention. Recently I had taken a Table Thai massage course for CEUs and a Intro to Reiki as well prior to registering for this course and a Reiki certification course as well.
Thank you for this opportunity

As a massage therapist I was shown how to rock the persons body to help relax them for the massage, but never for the reasons you have shown to me.I had to adjust to the technique as you had shown. When first doing it the flow didn't quite seem right my client said she felt like she was relaxing but not so much energy flowing. After watching the videos a few more times and practicing it I was excited to see her whole body moving like waves .she had expressed to me that she felt the energy flowing through her whole body and I notice the flow that both of had together like dancing together its a really beautiful experience. They never showed us that in my countinuing education class for the Table Thai. Yes its Def Thai Yoga. Very good and beautiful balance between therapist and client.
Thank you
Hi George, welcome to the Complete Thai Massage certification program and to our forum community. First, please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our certification checklist to make sure that it is all correctly organized:
I am happy to hear that you figured out the Chi Machine and experienced the flow and dance-like nature of the movement. That's a good start!

Module#3
While doing the Technique I discover my client had ticklish feet especially the left one , I had to stop adjust the pressure on left side more then the right, when adjust to each of the three parts of the foot. She had some tender spot in the center of left foot. I slowed my motion and lightened up my pressure. Eventually the left side wasn't as tender and we gained a good balance and flow. I asked before we even started if she had any prior injuries, she stated no. But I am aware of trigger point areas, so it took us awhile but everything went well afterwards.

Module #4
First and foremost thank you for letting us know not to worry about the sequence and go by our feelings it makes it easier for me because that is how I like to do my massages, that being said I was familiar with the different positions you was doing with the feet. I was used to doing them on the table though from my CEU class i did Table Thai. But I perfer the floor over the table now.
When starting off I did the Chi Machine ,my client loved it he said he could feel the energy throughout his whole body. He had gotten Thai massage done before, so he was willing to critique me. I flowed into the bend out and in and then twist right and left ,he said that felt like what he needed for his feet at that time. The session went really good.

Module #5
I have a friend of mine that is well aware of energy that I had practiced on this time she's a Reiki master, so I know she would give me a good honest critique for the warm up as far as energy flow. There are some techniques you present that I've never seen then there are those that I'm familiar with from my CEU class I took awhile back. This Module I'm familiar with the techniques so while doing the leg warm up, she told me the flow was good over all but she could tell there was a slight crinkle within the energy when I was doing the inner thigh area. I told her she probrably sensed my caution with that area being I mentally always take note of the tendent and artery that run through that area of the leg. I Love how you teach your class your a good instructor.

Module #6
This module had a little hick ups doing with my client, being I bruised my left heal pretty good earlier this week. I had the same client as last time ,most of your techniques I was familiar with with the leg warmup the part where you press the your tricep against the outside of the thigh was new to me but I had to get used to doing it right and what I call the partial chi machine of rocking the leg was fun and she enjoyed it . Yes everything went well ,just adjusting myself this time was a little challenging because of my heel but manageable.
I remember that once I was just about to start a one-week live Thai Massage class in Thailand, and a couple of days before I fell off a motorbike and bruised myself all over. The students were coming from all over the world, so there was no way I could cancel it. I taught the class - what could I do. It wasn't that easy for me, but luckily I could use other body parts besides my bruised hands.

I found a new person to work on this time he was known to have a bad lower back. Of course I started off with the Chi machine and then went to the leg stretches after. He said he had never been stretched in a manner as such and it felt different like less pain and at the end he felt more energized and light and that he felt it in his lower back as well.

Got same person to practice on he actually has hip problems as well, but decided to let me work on him. Of course I would start with the Chi machine in the beginning. During the leg stretches and hip evealuation had to start off light with the techniques while working on the hip pie He said he had never been worked on like that ,along with doing his knees and calfs which used to cramp up on him at times. Now is doing better after session.

I understood your concepte of power with softness I used that concept when I Used to exercise my grandmothers knees at the time after her knee surguries rest her soul. The same person as last time for those last two modules. My heel has healed us since then making my transitions more smooth again during the sessions. Again my client was amazed with the stretches with the thigh stretch especially hes said it helped especially on his right side with a recent siactic issue going on. Still likes the less pain aspect of the stretches.

Module # 10
I appreciate the review of the concepts and every technique seems to renergize itself inbetween each session because of the use of those concepts. The 270 stretch was able to communicate his limitations without stopping the flow of the technique and was a little hesitant with doing the blood stop for at least a min, but was able to do it comfortably with him with no kind of pain. Maintaining the amount of my body weight used for each technique.

Went back to my one client who was very intouch with her own energy for this module. Every thing went pretty smoothly starting with the Chi machine all the way to the blood stop . I know I missed some techiques but I stayed with the concepts you taught us and that in itself made everything flow good. I love your teaching methods, and happy I was lead to your course. My clients are happy as well. Ive already started the next section and very excited about it. Thank you again.
Thanks, George, I appreciate the kudos. I have often seen that the people who are taking this course really resonate with my way of teaching the material. It seems that the right kind of people are finding our courses and it creates a good match. That's how it should be.

My client liked the calf stretch especially with the feet against my body and transitioning to the hip stretch. I didn the other calf stretch with the leg against my shoulder and securing above the knee which was fine was getting more feed back with the calf stretches, discovered her calfs are just as sensitive as my own when stretching them. We found that she loved the hip stretch with her feet off of my stomach while pushing her knees back, like you said its less powerful.
