Once you get through both courses, Thai Massage and Thai Rocking Massage, you will have a huge edge in your therapy work. There is so much potential and flexibility in there that it boggles my own mind – and I am the one who created it . The truth is that we never stop learning. We can always get better with practice and experience. There is never a point where you “got it all”.
Agreed Shama, I am just ecstatic as in the past some of the more tradional Thai massage was painful for receiver. I know now I was not warming client up enough.
So far just the very little I have learned from you has helped tremendously!
With the last client I went from rocking to rolling with forearm and went to more traditional. Client states the pain was a “hurt so good” on the traditional afterward.
You are right – stretching without enough warming can cause pain. You can do any kind of warming or rocking technique on pretty much any client, but with the stretching you have to be careful. They don’t all work on everyone and need to be preceded by muscle warming techniques.

Well I indeed need to practice this module again. It just felt awkward for me this timewas not able to get the hip to circle in the flow that seemed so efforless for you. I am not discouraged tho. The reciever seemed to enjoy it. I am the one who felt awkward.
Just had one of those days I guess where everything felt awkward. Think I just need to slow down. Just listening and watching your vidieos Shama. You just seem so calm. Then I remebered you said in the beginning that the right mind set. I thiink that is where I went wrong today.
Tomorrow I am sure I will have a better experince…

Of course I look relaxed after having 14 years of experience under the belt. If we talk again in 14 years, I am sure you will look just as relaxed as I do
There can be all kinds of reasons why one day can feel awkward. Sometimes we just expect too much from ourselves, or we want to be perfect right away, or we are at a low cycle in our bio rhythms etc etc. Time and practice will take care of all of that, I promise!
Thank you Sama! I found out what was doing wrong.
Of course one thing was i needed to slow down. I practiced this again and I think I was trying to make the circle to big. The hip was not allowed to hang in space so it seemed as the hip was not moving or circling .
Once I pulled the hip towards my opposing shoulder i could better feel the movement.
Also I had my grip to close to the top of the knee. I had more success when I was closeer to the hip with my hold. Not to close to hip just closer. I am not as tall as you perhaps.
