Thank you, Shama, for sharing with me some of your experience from your years of exposure to touching many bodies. I had read of some experiences online about sensuality spilling over into sexuality; and that has been a hidden fear of mine. I'm gaining confidence, though, in the thought of massaging attractive females with a clean energy or intent; and it all ending with a good and expected outcome.
So this is our last Rocking module for this course. I have done foot shaking in the prone position, with the lower leg upright 90 degrees, and holding to the ankle; then shaking gently from side to side. Same with the hand in the supine position and lower arm upright 90 degrees, and then holding the wrist and gently shaking the hand from side to side. Finally, in the supine position, with the therapists hands covering the last one half of the head; and then waving or shaking the head slowly from side to side as if saying "no." I relate that; because the feet, hands, and head were not really covered in this rocking course as distinct rocking moves.
So I practiced the back techniques on my partner, the rocking and moving hands. I really like the massage without the oil and even over the clothes type of techniques of Thai massage. The shoulder rocking was very good. The scapula movement was a new one for me also.
The rocking massage course was something special that really resonates with me. I will use some aspects of rocking in all of my massaging of clients; because I love doing those kind of movements. In Swedish massage, the closest move to rocking is "vibration." I used it a lot before. Now I'll add rocking to all my massages.
