Module #26 Back 3

So glad your showing us so may ways to work on back. I know in traditional massage if doing a full body you spend little more time on the back and shoulders cause that's where most hold stress. So yes I can pick and choose the appropriate Tec: for the Situation.

And yes my wrists and Thumbs are getting stressed out form regular traditional massage and your way with the off direct pressure when Thumbs are used helps a lot.

Tec: Working the back with forearms on near side of spine is a very comfortable position for me as i leaned in. My partner's feedback was GREAT!!

Also Tec: working Sen Line #2 up to scapula was very nice in this position.

Tec: Elephant walking and Galloping rhythm was a nice change. I think I to will like the Galloping method. Know in Tec: Elephant walking on the back both side of spine i will have to put one leg up because I'm short and my groin area rubs up on buttocks. NOT GOODSurprisedLifting my leg gets me up off body. Tec: Neck and shoulder squeezing and circle a very nice touch.

Thanks

Module #27 Prone upper back

Tec; Circling the trapezius  with finger tips. and Kneading traps are a very nice way to warm up this area. I use this tec; with oil also and very effect move.

Tec: Palm circles on shoulder blade also nice warm up. I also put pressure in scapula with my thumb on a pressure point (radial nerve in scapula they can feel it down to finger tips helps relax shoulder area then apply Palm circles on shoulder blade.

Tec; Losing up shoulder blade, I found out instead place there shoulder between my knees/legs i found a nice firm pillow works good for me so i can set more comfortable off my knees on one leg up. Me seating both knees under me I can't stay for to long very uncomfortable for me.

Tec; Shoulder Stretch with backward rotation my partner love this. Also Tec: Upper Body Twist. NICE

Cobra #1#2 we can do. Shes not at #3

Thanks Shama looking forward to more

New therapists often don't realize how important it is to preserve our thumbs and wrists and hands. But us old-timers know that they can wear out and that anything that helps us to relieve them can be a career saver. Thai Massage is great for that.

Module #28 back summary

Been working on all the TEC: show in this summary. Practicing on a good transitioning time from one leg to other as i work up the back. about to get that figured out to make this a nice smooth massage.

I did have a chance to work on a client this week a young high school student that's a football, baseball player. His dad called me that i use to coach his dad when he was in school when i coach him with my boys. Anyway he has Juvenile Arthritis in hands and feet with stiff back and shoulders. Told him of the classes I'm taking in Thai Massage and if it's okay if i try some of the Tec: Of Thai massage. And so they cae in the other evening before batting practice. Just got a text back from his Dad stating that he wasn't sore and felt much better. So was it okay to come in maybe once a week for more. So, I'm very pleased i could help someone especially athletes with this new Thai massage.

Thanks Shama

Module #29 Side position 1

Hope your enjoying your trip saw on Facebook you and family getting to escape northern Thailand due to high air pollution from agriculture burning and high heat temp. Be safe on your journey.

I like side position of working and i can see this will be very beneficial on pregnant ladies.

Tec: Sitting on the Thigh yes does take a lot of practice and patience in doing right. It does feel very warming sensation as you move up and down the outer thigh. I had my partner try it on me. love it!!

Tec: Inner Thigh (adductor) and Hip Stretch will have to practice on with someone with larger legs. But will get it down.

Thanks Shama

Congratulations on your success with the session on the athlete. I think that there are probably lots of athletes out there who could use your help and your new skills.

Module #30 side position 2

I do like side position much easier for me to work on them.  I can see different ways to transition from one side to the other.

Tec: elephant walking is up and down above spine on erector a nice way to warm them up.

Tec: with then thumbs i do not like. like the palming instead.

Tec: Spinal Twist my she didn't like as will i was leaning down to hard. Once i backed off she like it much better. But not her favorite.

Tec: Spinal Twist with a rocking motion. She like very much I work on this one for some time. This one took some tie to get it down but once I got my hands in sink it works out really nice. ThanksSmile

Tec: Hip flexor, Quadriceps, and lower back stretch she really loves i can use this one a lot on my clients will really like this one. nice stretch. I also can see how i can seat down behind them with my leg into the glutes for a Hip Flex, Quad stretch without pulling the shoulder. i do like the 1-2-3-2-1 up and down the glutes for the full back stretch.

Thanks Shama

Straight spinal twists are often a bit of an issue. I prefer the rocking versions, or at least I start out with them. If you get a flexible person, or a yogi type, then straight spinal twists tend to be easy. But the rocking is always more gentle.

Module # 31 Side position 3

I really like your side Tec. for the shoulder area. And yes this way id the BEST way to do shoulder work.

The first 3 Tec. nice warm up moves to get blood into the shoulder area.

TEC: Shoulder Circling with built-in stretch. They really like this one.

TEC: Arm circling with shoulder with Shoulder stretch 360' circling this move is very strong and i got a lot of feedback that this was a very nice move, but yes i do need work with this i can use this in a lot of other massages.

I can see in all of these tec. on the shoulder with my hands around the shoulder with some pressure you are also massaging all of  the shoulder muscles with the ball of the shoulder inside out as the ball of the shoulder rotates in all these tec.

Thanks Shama

Module #32 side position 4

WOW so many different ways to do shoulder work so many to pick from.

Tec: Swim Arm Back Behind Head while doing Thumb work on Rhomboids minor ans major. This is my favorite one nice work on those muscles for people who do a lot of computer work at desk and hold there shoulders still for a long period of time. Those muscles tend to get very stuff and sore. From lack of movement for long period of time.

Tec: Kneading the Latissimus and Serratus muscles and also Leaning on cross arm is a nice side of body work. I find using my foot on there hand to hold arm into place works best for me instead my leg in front of there arm.

Tec. Sandwich Shoulder rocking nice ending.

Thanks Shama

Yep, it's hard to beat Thai Massage shoulder work in the side position. It's perfect for releasing this whole area around the shoulder. 🙂

Module #33 Sitting Position 1

Today my fiance and I are working a lot on  my courses to finish my cerif. by next month. Today all day is Thai Massage. since its 15 degrees out side today.

I can see sitting can be hard if not a Yogi but nice stretching Tec.

Tec. Kneading the Traps. and Rhomboids with thumb a very nice move for tight shoulder area.

Tec. Squeeze neck with palms she really likes. She's a bank teller and looking and counting money all day neck issues.

Tec: Back Bend and shoulder stretch with feet rocking she really got into. we played around with this a lot.

Tec; Hold wrist Lean Back Power stretch was a little to much for her.

Tec: Gentle and Slow Spinal twist was nice.  She likes this one. But ready for more of a twist in that move.

Thanks Shama

Module #34 Sitting 2

Tec: Back Stretch

These one does take some practice with balance on toes. nice stretch like the Back Bend with the feet and rocking. Working on this one to get a good blance

Therapy work with forearms i really like and very easy to do.  I can do this one and also with there head on my thigh all day. She really likes both of these tec. on her neck. I can see how my leg must be right up there back for good back support.

Tec; Shoulder Stretch with my elbow in Trap area. This one is a nice one also .

Module #35 Client Communication

I like the way on the first client visit we sit down and talk about the client, why are you here who referred them to me. I normally use a client information sheet they fill out as required by state law so i can use that to start for first timers. Also to really stress the 1-10 feedback to me so we can show them the progress we make in the moments.

Changing Cell Memory is a good way to help them understand how the body heals itself thru natural healing by releasing the blocked energy thru movement. Love the "log blocking stream theory to release blocked energy.

This helped out on how to start out with a new client.

Thanks Shama your the best

  Shama,

I want to take this tie to thank you so much in this Thai complete course. Took me long than i wanted to but had a set back with some remolding project that came up at my shop. But the remolding helped me out so i can add a mat on the floor in my massage room to do Thai massage. I have learned a great deal at looking and learning Thai Massage and i can also include some of these Tec; in my oil massage.

I teach Tai Chi twice a week plus there are two yoga different classes at the place i teach Tai Chi. I hope to introduce this to those classes and work on there instructor.

Thanks a lot Shama now for my certification test.Cool
