Hi Darcy, welcome to the Heavenly Head Massage certification program and to our community. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our certification checklist to make sure that it is all correctly organized:
As far as your module 1 post is concerned, I think you were referring to the introduction module which doesn't have any training in it yet. So the real module 1 comes after that.

Module 1 Chest and Shoulders.
Watched the video. I do this technique already at the end of my massage but I use a hot towel across the pecs while doing it.
So I added it at the beginning of the massage as well, I do think it helps relax the upper traps and neck because of the lengthening of the pecs. Plus the rocking motion seems to help further relax the client.
I know I got a lot of useful information out of this video but now trying to write this post my mind has gone blank. I am taking this course because I feel my massage has gotten stale. I like to be able to see my clients have the meditative state that you talk about. I know that deepest healing comes from that state and that is what I am hoping to create for my clients.
I have not experience Thai Massage as of yet. I know I can not work on a mat do to bad knees. I like to be on my feet also.
You don't need to know Thai Massage in order to learn Heavenly Head Massage. And you don't need to do it on a floor mat. It works just as well on a table, as I have done countless times.
However you will definitely get a lot of inspiration from this course, and you will be able to experience this meditative state yourself and generate it in your clients. That will of course take some time until the techniques and the feeling for them have become second nature.
But since this is your objective, I have no doubt that you will get there rather sooner than later.
