Just finished watching the introduction video. It got me even more motivated than I was. I really like that you put focus on the energy and the flow of the massage and that you need to feel confortable to give a great massage and that it is not only about mechanical technique. Really looking foward for the next video.

Welcome, Dany! I am glad to hear that the first video motivated you. This course puts a strong emphasis on NOT working mechanically as you will see in every module.

Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our certification check list for your reference:

Module 2- Chi Machine

That technique is not as easy as it look like. What I find the hardest with this technique is to keep the same rhytme. At the beginning I was getting a bit tense and it was only when I could relax that I found success with the technique. We were using yoga mat on a hard floor so my feet were a bit unconfortable while doing the technique. The last time I did the Chi Machine on my partner after it was done I kept my hand on her ankle for a few seconds, when I removed them she could not tell If my hand were still there or not. I thought it was cool!

The Chi Machine is not so easy to learn for many people, as you found out. However once you 'get it', it's a great technique. A yoga mat is way too thin to be comfortable, both for the giver and the receiver. Try to use something more substantial. Did you ever see my video on choosing a mat?

Module 3-Foot Massage

Thanks for the reply Shama, this time we found a place to practice on a mat and the Chi Machine was way easier cause it did not hurt my feet at all and I received good feedback from my partner. I did not found the foot technique to be really hard to do except the one that you do a circle which was a little bit tricky to get a good fluid motion but at the end I think i got it. We will still practice those technique next time we meet for the next video. The technique that you turn, push and pull felt really good on the hip, I really like this one. So far so good!

I am glad to hear that you got the Chi Machine worked out without stressing your feet. It's next to impossible to relax our clients if we ourselves are not able to relax when we are working. That's why I am constantly stressing good ergonomics throughout the course.
