Module 11- Summary Session # 1

Well, this class exceed my expectation.

Wow what a presentation. So I watching this already three times, practice two times, some of the techniques are difficult so i practice more, easy ones they feel natural, easy like a breeze the difficult ones need more balance , body technique, breathing, the hips are amazing,I love to work on them.

Shama , you are so right, we need to exercise the ones are comfortable for our body, the ones the client need , not to memorize them.

Also the ones are making me uncomfortable, i drop them focus on the ones my body allows them , I'm confident  this is the way to go, safe , comfortable, ready to help my clients.Smile

Module 12

This class was great.

Hips are so great, is so much to do ,again I have to stick with techniques my body is comfortable, difficult stretches for my partner, so I have to easy up, but I did ok.

I have been practicing on variety people, different body's, so I been decent with my practice. On the feedback matter, my partner is feeling great.

The rest of the people they have mixed feedback,we work outside now in days so I  can't do that much at the spa, maybe when they will allowed us to work indoors, but I been practicing on my private clients as well.

Shama you are so right about yoga I am taking my first class soon.

Next is thai massage.Smile

Complete Thai Massage Module 13

Completion of Hip Pie

This class was great. Once again the hip is so complex, I believe is a great idea the visualize the hip pie, makes sense.

On the subject  about comfort zone for the client, always ask if they are comfortable, better to work slowly I agree.

I notice, some of the moves are again difficult for me, so I will keep watching, practice as well.

My husband feels great, after everyday practice, my clients they start noticing better stretches, they are clear and smooth.

Hi Shama,

My yoga class was great.

We all are body workers,  unique ,now depends , who's going to paint the MasterpieceSmile

Module 14 -Hip Rocking

This class was great. Rocking techniques are always relaxing, everyone enjoy them. We can start with rocking, to get the blood flow, then little by little we move to more intense stretches, again is so much to cover on the hips. Plus we can also, have the lower back, and leg muscle involved with is a bonus.

Yes Shama you are so right about keeping connection with the client very important, transition  from one side to other side, is very difficult for me.

I do my best keep practicing, listening to your video, I commit to yoga class one a week ,I  will do what is necessary to learn.

On the feedback part, my partner is comfortable only with few stretches ,he enjoy the rocking movement, from this class.

Keep moving forward is difficult but not impassible!

Rocking movements almost always work whereas linear stretches are sometimes too much for some clients. The only time when rocking moves do not work is if you do whole-body rocking on someone who has a tendency to get 'sea-sick' from it - but that is quite rare.

The transitions are a bit tricky, I admit. But once you get good at them, it will feel so easy and elegant! Smile

Complete Thai Massage

Module 15-Abdomen and chest

This class was great. We need to watch this a few times to see how slow we need to move.

This is very sensitive area , hara the whole organs unit in one place , start slow and listen, increase only the client allow to go deeper, this is how I do it, when comes to ribs, same only between the ribs, is sensitive area as well, breathing is important , of course to synchronize with the client, chest is strong so I use more body weight on this, the chest can take it, on the female side more gentle.

Hi Shama,

On the topic regarding, the Thai massage, is very well know , popular yet, like I mention before, I worked with a list of four , five asian massage technicians, they are very talented, highly requested, also Thai massage prices are high, yes you are so right,is a need for thai massage.

I DO IT, because,I want more, to learn, to explore, to hear from other healers...

And I love it, is difficult, we need time, commit, discipline.

Module 16- Shoulders

This class was great. I did practice both on the clients, and on my husband I made progress, I did increase my practice, it makes a huge difference.

The shoulders are so important, they are the most requested area to focus on , I need to work with my  body balance, I keep helping my self with my muscle, I must admit the position of the arm with the wrist on the floor took me longer, but the shoulders, I feel much confident.

EVERYONE enjoy so far , I keep asking everyone , so far so good.

Hi Shama,

Yes I agree with , you. I do believe the more I know, the more confident I will be, time will tell, Thai massage is a part of the history of massage, is well know anywhere, culture, believes, so unique, I will move toward to explore,I  love it so far.

I am happy to hear that! And you will be happy to know that there are two additional modules with just shoulder work coming up in this course (when you get to the side position). You will know more about shoulder work than 90% of Thai Massage therapists.

Module 17- Arms And Hands

This class was great. The hands and arms, are also very important. The alternative circular elephant walking feels great, it took  more time then it looks, still not sure yet to do it closer or little distance , I'm still experience some soreness in my ankles, so need to move a little faster.

The imaginary lines, the energy lines I believe, they are good to increase the blood flow, and warm up the arms and hands, rest comes naturally, it found this class more challenging for me , more meticulous, I did practice, need to come back and practice more, and watch the video more times, so far some moves are difficult some are easier.Smile

Hi Shama,

Yes for shoulders I like to know more modalities for shoulders, in special for the clients I visit weekly , will be a great addition for me.

Thank you

There is lots of good shoulder work coming up. And if you still want more, we have an entire course only about shoulder therapy.

It will be almost impossible for you not to become a shoulder expert! Smile

Module 8- Transitions/Spinal Twists

The transition is smooth, yes for the stretches, it is a great idea to go around the head, and also to keep in connection with your client, the whole time.

The diagonal stretches for the upper and lower spine , they give me some challenge, I find that for me works better , if I'm not  that close with my knee  to the client shoulder, is better and more efficient,  I'm tall and long body so I  need to be more far.

The last stretches for the shoulder is very simple for me , yoga help me a lot to.

Shoulders are so important, so is great, to add more work !

Yes Shama,

So much on the shoulders is great, more the better, we are going to be in excellent, position when comes to shoulders.

Thai massage, moving better, slowing down,, breathing better, create space, stretches the body,  much easier for the therapist, and much more!

By all means experiment with your positioning. It can definitely be affected by factors like your size. Just because I show it one way, doesn't mean that this is the only way to do it.

Module 19-Summary 2

This class was great!

After watching this video few times,I start practicing . It was more challenging then I was expecting, the transition was not that difficult, the shoulder stretch was more difficult, because of my knee, so yes I have to adjust, the feedback mixed some like more the elephant walking  more , some client prefer more legs stretch, depends on their need, I do have to practice more, I do feel more confident today with all the tools then , the beginning . The whole video is clear, flow is great, energy, connection, soft, relaxing, you are a great body worker, I admire watching you.

Hi Shama,

I start this journey, to learn more to help myself, to help my clients to feel better,  to be able to last more and safe in this business, but this Thai Massage change my vision, so far so good, I will keep going, with soreness, practice, sometimes I repeat the same sequence more then few times , then I realize the first try felt better.

Module 20- Prone legs 1

This class was great.

I have  been waiting for prone, we do work more prone now in days, some clients they feel more comfortable prone.

Is always great idea to start , with the feet, I did practice to use my elbow on their feet, feedback feels good, but always depends.

Calcaneal region is always a great to stretch, also the calf muscle are always very stiff.

Regarding the stretches always warm up the area, it is a must.

Feedback I have been practicing, for a while, few times watch the video, so far so good.

HI Shama,

You are too kind, I was fortunate in my life to meet with a few exceptional, massage and body healers, you are of them.

Thank you, yes is a great idea to read some suggestions from others, I will do my best,
