Hi Cynthia, welcome to the Complete Thai Massage certification program. Please take a moment and familiarize yourself with our certification checklist to make sure that it is all correctly organized:

Certification Checklist

It looks like something went wrong with your first post since there is no content after the “module 1”. You can edit your posts, but when there is a follow-up post, you won’t be able to edit a previous post anymore. So you can just make a new post for module 1.

Also here is a useful tip for posting:

Module 1

Learned how the table vs floor affects therapist and client. floor is better you can get on and under people, use your body weight. Thai massage is not as clinical as western. Thai focuses more on the feel and energy vs anatomy . The objective is to develop quality of touch and free up energy. Then learned basic moves. Compression, stretching, twisting (held shoulder down) traction, rocking, percussion, kneading, holding. Your body is the tools thumbs, knuckles, fingers, hands forearms, elbows, knees feet. Different therapist positions (need to practice) sitting on heels, kneeling, squatting sitting standing.clinet positions, prone, supine, side with pillows under leg and head. Putting touch together like symphony or dance. Ergonomics ,make it easier on myself use my weight. Your breathe connects you with your energy. Breathing is very important during massage.

Good, now something showed up! Smile

One clarification – please read item #7 in the certification checklist which I posted previously. This explains that posts should be experiential, and not a listing of the content of the module. In other words how you liked the material, how your practice sessions went, what feedback you got from your partner, how you apply it, etc.

What you did is list the content of the module. Now I realize that there wasn’t much to practice in this module since it was mostly an introduction, but for future posts just be aware not to tell me what’s in the video, but what you did with it. Smile

Module 2 chi machine

This one was super relaxing I’ve been using it during my massages and even on my 6 month old baby everyone loves this! I still dont feel like I’m strong enough to do this for a long time but when my partner did it on me I felt like everything in my body was getting out back into place.
