Module 21 - Prone legs 2

The starting method for heavy legs was really useful, Thank you. This module was similar to the leg Module in the supine position in terms of forearm work as well as leg positioning to work on a variety of angles. My partner liked the work on the hip in this one. The soft area in the glute was much easier to work on with the leg higher. I liked how you could deepen this stretch by raising your partner's leg. The prone leg triangle hip stretch was great as well - really effective. Working on his calf with my knee was something i preempted actually. I even did some glute work with my knee (as well as my hand as you demonstrated)by altering my position at this point. Laugh

Module 22 - Prone Legs

The heel to buttocks stretch was fairly easy to execute, whether for the single leg or the double leg variation. Same goes for the other two variations. With the power version, my partner said it stretched right into his lower back which was great.

The Prone reverse lift however was not easy at all to execute - I will try this move on my lighter friend. I did try other ways of lifting his leg but it was all too strenuous. I t is a shame as he really liked it but I could not sustain the stretch. Therefore unless we can do it in a trio, I will not do it with heavier clients. Same for the opposite hip lift in prone position. I look forward to trying the second part of this module on someone i can lift with more ease.

Module 23 - Sacrum

So I've been suffering with pain in my sacrum for the last three weeks so this module was practiced on me first 🙂 The circling and the rocking was so lovely and it was nice to explain to my partner how to use his body and breath instead of strength. I was watching and experiencing. By directing him, It was like a revision of some of the basics for me. Massaging the groves was really beneficial for me. We found a lot of knots that he undid. The percussion techniques as well as the glutei and hips rocking techniques were extremely relaxing as well. Although I was very light headed when I got up, My sacrum felt better - I wish i could practice on myself Laugh. He enjoyed the massage as well and as it didn't involve much lifting at all, it was easy to deliver. I can't wait to work on the back modules next !

Regarding your comment that 'the pressure is on' to get the certificate before the deadline. This deadline is meant as an encouragement so that course students go through with it. If you would be a couple of weeks late, this does not mean that your certificate goes down the drain. Smile

So yes, try to complete the certification program as soon as possible, but don't stress over it either!

Module 24 - Prone back

I really liked that the back was approached in two parts; one side and the next. In comparison to sweetish massage where we do both sides at the same time, I think this version of the back massage is more effective. It allows to give more attention to each side. My partner liked this and it was easy to execute... just need to get a hang of the rhythm. Im not going to stress about the detail of this module too much as its just the warm up for the actual back massage 🙂

And, not to forget, being able to work from either side is much better for your ergonomics and less stressful for your body.

Module 25 Prone back

Leaning on the erector muscles was really easy... working from one side is just so much more comfortable for my body. Finding knots is always fun.. I've been doing it since a young age so this made sense to me. Leaning into the trapezius is something i really want to practice with my partner. I was working on my small partner and didn't get a chance with her. It feels like an effective move that with the use of my leg, i could use on a heavier person. My elbow and knee work was very appreciated 🙂 i look forward to practicing more of this because if looks so relieving Embarassed

Module 26 - Prone back

I am very happy that we have approached techniques that relieve the fingers and wrists as my wrists tend to suffer a lot after a massage.i will be using a lot more forearm work so as to not tire my wrists out. Also I really need to focus on using my full body when working on the back. It's so easy to forget. very nice module 🙂

Glad you like this module. Yes, you can replace a lot of hand work with other body parts. There will be a LOT more about those options in the bonus material which is part of this course.
