Module 1

Everything about this course excites me even the terms used to describe how it is provided; rocking, wiggling, circling, swinging, and other words to describe how it feels; trance, flow, rhythm, relaxing.   I have come to deeply love the rocking, giving and receiving.  To me this is very nurturing and healing while engaging the energy system as well.  Can’t wait for the rest of the course.

Module 2

I use the Chi Machine technique daily in my massages and love it.  I really like the traction techniques taught in this video.  I found the information about how to visual assess the hips to be the most helpful and will most likely review this often!  Thank you.

Module 3

Although I use rocking often in my massages I appreciated the information on how to work on the legs and hips addressing specific hip rotation issues.  I also love that this massage works on the joints, muscles and energy lines in such a subtle yet effective manner.  I really benefited from the anatomy terminology review in this module as well.

Module 4

Going more into depth with hip issues and making rocking movements from original course techniques made this module very educational and fun as well.  I love the hip techniques and use them often even on the table.  I particularly like the techniques to allow the muscles to relax and open.

Module 5

More hip openers and techniques!  I feel that this course provides more information about assessing and ways to solve certain issues and really like that.  I will be spending the day with my daughter tomorrow and hope to practice all of this on her tomorrow as well as receive it.  I really enjoy energy work as I’ve said and like the fact that this technique has the potential to create trance like states……..

I am glad to hear that you find the rocking techniques beneficial. I use them a lot in every session and find them invaluable. They are probably my most significant contribution to the field of Thai Massage. (Standard Thai Massage uses very little rocking.)

Module 6

This first hip rocking technique in this module is wonderful in that it works on hip as well as giving the client a back massage. I also like the rocking and walking technique used to go up and down the body.  The press and pull technique is wonderful as well and like that it can be done with or without the rocking.  Moving up and down the hip joint is great as many people have issues in this area and I can see this as being very relaxing.  People often think that deep is better but I encourage them to try rocking and more gentler approaches to healing.

No pain, no gain, not true! Here in Thailand a lot of people think that stronger pressure must be more therapeutic even if it hurts like hell. I know I am getting much better results with the rocking techniques than by brutalizing people.

I agree totally!

Module 7

I have to say that these techniques were so much fun to learn and to give. I was able to practice on Kristin and she loved it.  I definitely could see that the client’s weight would make a big difference in being able to do these techniques!!  I actually practiced on the grandkids, who have come to love Thai massage, and their feedback was positive as well.

Module 8

Although I have done many of the techniques in this module as part of other courses I appreciated making them into rocking movements.  I shoulder work looks amazing and I can’t wait to practice and imagine it will take some time to perfect.  I really enjoyed this module as I have been doing much more shoulder work with clients.

Module 9

The shoulder and arm techniques are relaxing, love the arm swing as well as the bounce pull technique.  I don’t often speak during massages but can see the value of guiding a client to become more self aware of holding patterns and teaching them to use their breath to relax and release.  I so appreciate the putting it all together review.

Good communication is an often neglected tool in massage, and especially in Thai Massage which uses all those big moves. I have to say that my communication skills with clients have often had a dramatic impact on the results of my sessions.

Module 10

Many of the techniques I just learned in the sciatica course were included in this module and I already have integrated them into most of my massages.  Clients often comment how amazing the sacrum work feels and that they have never had it before.  I like the alternative counts for the erector/sacrum rock and that the count can provide a different feel for each client.

Module 11

Again the use of breath and rhythm is stressed so this is making me much more aware of them.  I am still working on keeping movement when changing positions but have become more comfortable doing this as well.  The rocking moves up and down the spine are great! I particularly liked the scapula techniques and spinal twist.  This was a great course and I can’t wait to put it all together and be able to offer a solid hour session.  Thank you.
