This is the unique feature of all my training programs. They are not just information, but they are training with real interaction.

I  am enjoying using the hip rocking method.  You are right about the leaving hands on while transitioning and not breaking that connection.

Yes, maintaining a continuity of movement creates a feeling of flow, both for the therapist and the client. It feels much better for both.

Sorry I have been busy.  I am back on track now.  I am now on the chest and abdominal massage.  I always work the chest normally because a lot of clients hold tension there.

Welcome back. Smile Strangely enough, the last time I was in the US, I got a Swedish massage from a new therapist fresh out of massage school. She never touched my belly or chest, and when I asked her why not, she said that they were told in school not to work on this area. Confused

This is true.  I was taught abdominal massage only to help constipation.  We were taught chest massage and how to properly drape the sheet for a woman's breast.  I think people here are nervous or afraid to massage those areas.  I am now on module 16 the shoulders.  I really enjoy the stretches that you do.

Hi Shama,

I have been practicing my transitions.  It's different using a massage table versus the floor, so some of my transitions are different.  I have adapted for the spa I work at.  I am actually helping to train them somewhat and I am helping them with their body mechanics.  I really love Thai Massage and I find myself using the techniques in almost every massage I give.  Thank you again!

True, transition are different on a table. I am glad that you are helping others with their body mechanics. This can be a career saver for therapists.

I am glad to hear that. If you are practicing every day, you will become very good at it. That's the whole secret right there! Smile

Hello Shama,

I received a email from you about the CEU requirements.  I finished all the viedo courses, but now I have to go through each one again to help answer a few of the questions on the test that I cannot remember.  How long do I have to complete the training, I am trying to get it done as soon as possible.  I hope to be finished with it this week.  Thank you as always!

Hi Brittany, there is a detailed section in your course manual about the certification process. It contains all the pertinent information. And also, as you will remember from my email, I sent you the link to the certification tutorial. Here it is again:
Certification Tutorial

This link is also in your course manual. If you want to go through the certification process, you would need to follow the guidelines as outlined in your manual and in the certification tutorial. This would mean posting a progress report about each course module here in the forum, and, if you want the CEUs, you would need to additionally answer the test questions which are required by the NCBTMB.

I have been practicing my transitions from the chi machine to feet to left leg then right leg.  I feel more comfortable with doing them.

Hi Shama,

I wanted to let you know I have passed the exam professor exam for CEUs.  I was wondering what do I do next as far as receiving a Certificate and CEUs?  I look forward to hearing from you!!!

Thank you,

Brittany
