MODULE 1
Just completed my first 30 plus minute video, so happy to see my many years of bodywork therapist training will be applicable in this course. I just got my Thai mat and will be setting up my studio space so that I can figure out my space set up.
Are there any suggestions on size, shape where to find, affordable support cushions for the clients head in supine and knees in side positions.
Day one of therapist position daily practice, excited to post images on my Facebook page!

Hi Bonnie, welcome to the Complete Thai Massage certification program. Please take a moment and familiarize yourself with our certification checklist to make sure that it is all correctly organized:
I already sent you an email where I pointed out the changes that I made for you.
For your next post, please make sure to click on 'Add Reply' and NOT on 'Add Topic' so that your posts remain in this thread.
Now, housekeeping issues aside, good to hear that you already have a mat. There is a video in this course that shows you the ideal mat size and configuration. Regarding cushions, I wouldn't be able to tell you specifically where to get them, but I think any place like Walmart or home furnishing place should have a decent selection of pillows available. Specific size or shape is not that important as long as you have a few different types and sizes available.
Maybe one big pillow like the one you use in a bed (not too soft), and a couple of smaller square ones (also not so soft that you sink right through them), and maybe one long roll, like the kind that sometimes goes at the top end of a bed. These are all to support the client.
Then, depending on the size of your mat, it is useful to have one or two firm and flat pillows that you can use for yourself so that your feet and knees don't end up on the hard floor. You could even use an exercise mat for this purpose and cut it into two or three pieces. You will see that in the mat video in the course.

Shama,
Thanks so much for your help and corrections !
I did get the email you sent and although I reviewed the process I guess I was confused on how to start this posting requirement in this forum.
I believe I have correctly done
1. Forum profile-completed
2. Post in correct forum-completed with your help
Now onto post for module 2

MODULE 2
I have now provide the chi machine experience three times to my partner. The first experience for both myself and my partner was amazing. I did the first session for only a minute and placed the feet on my thighs and I found it easy to do for a minute. My partner expressed that their experience was amazing and asked if I could do it again, "it was so relaxing". The next day when I did the second chi machine session I combined the heels on my thighs and in my hands, I did my partners legs on my thighs for about a minute and then lifted their legs. When I lifted the legs, my partner had an elevated experience but still did not want their experience to end. I notice around 30 seconds into the raised leg part my ankles became a little uncomfortable when I had the weight in my palms so I decided to conclude the session. Before the third session I did some of the flexibility exercises and found that my ankles felt better and I was more comfortable doing 1 minute of each lower and raised feet. My partner liked that combo the best and felt all warm and tingly.
I am excited to start module 3!
