Module 1

Hello Shama! I was giving my boyfriend a hamstring massage for the first time (I did basic Thai massage for him before, but I massaged the front part of his legs and his feet and also did some stratching movements). We were really surprised to know that his hamstrings are really tight because of the exersice. He did not feel pain in this part of the legs at all, but hamstring massage showed that his thighs also need attantion.

I had some problems to use knee technique, because I am not so stable in this position. I would be thankful if you could tell me the appropriate way to make it more stable. Or is it only the matter of time and practice?

Thank you.

Hi Anna, time and practice will definitely help your stability, but if you want to speed up the process, then this video will show you how to do it:

Module 2

I was practicing module 1 and 2 together. It is really great that in module 2 there is a part for calfs also. I worked on the whole back surface of the legs and it was very useful for my partner, because his calf muscles are even more strained than hamstrings.

I feel more comfortable using knee technique already and in module 2 knee technique is more comfortable to do, because I am supporting myself with my hands. But of course I will work on my balance more.

Good to hear that you are making progress with the knee work. I know this can be challenging since in "normal" massage knees are practically never used. But in Thai Massage they are really useful tools.

Module 3

I tried to work on module 3 and it turned out really hard. It reminded me that I used to take body balance lessons many years ago and I think it is good idea to start them over:) It is actually a surprise that something so simple like stepping on the hamstring can be pleasant and really benificial. But another part I found not easy to do is not only to get pressure right, but to make every step/circle/movement be connected to each other and "flow". I have a feeling I am like "throwing" every movement a little and it should not be like that. Practice, practice and practice!

Yes, the flow will take some time to develop, and it will make all the difference in how it feels to both you and your partner.

If you want to have some fun and get great balance in the process, this video will tell you how to do that:

Module 4

Thank you for another very useful video! And also I wanted to thank you for such a detailed explanation of every movement in every module of this course. It is really easy to understand what to do and how to do it.

With stretching part I was a little bit familiar already and had an experience of using it in my Thai massage practice before. It is really very useful. I heard some people call it "yoga for lazy people" and partly it is true:) But sitting position was totally new for me and became a real surprise.

I also noticed that if I give hamstring massage and do every movement from this course it lasts for about an hour! It is really a full massage session. And it is worth giving because the next day after massage like that my partner really feels much better. Thank you for this course again!
