The introduction module was very informative. The basic concept of Thai massage and the techniques and tools used were introduced in a fluid and easy to understand manner. Also, it helped me to better understand why it is more effective to practice thai massage on the floor versus using a table. The explanation of using the breath to work made so much sense, it was like an aha moment.

I notice lately, since working for a chiropractor, a lot of focus is on the specific muscles and anatomical areas giving each patient trouble. I feel that studying this course and applying my focus on my breathing, as well as the patients, will help me truly help them. It will help me develop a better quality of touch, while having the support of my anatomy knowledge.

I am extremely interested in learning and focusing more on the energy lines that run throughout the body, and freeing up any energy blockages that may be hindering the normal physiology of the body. I am also excited about learning to use my feet and different body positions (sitting, kneeling, squatting) while working.

It made so much sense when you explained that if your energy is off you will transfer that to your client. I have worked on someone and didnt feel very confident in a certain technique I was using, as soon as i started to feel that, the client started fidgeting on my table. I hope this course will help me to work through situations like that.

By the end of the course I hope to have composed a beautiful symphony!

Hi Angie, welcome to the Complete Thai Massage course certification program. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our certification check list to make sure that it is all properly organized:

Certification Check List

You are right, this course will help you to approach your massage work from a different angle or perspective than only the clinical or anatomical one. It seems that you already know pretty well what you are looking for, and this course will definitely provide this! Smile

All the different therapist and client positions make Thai Massage a more 'three dimensional' treatment and experience. Also it is much more therapist friendly than most western massage since you can use so many different body parts.

I am confident that you will be able to create a beautiful symphony, although in the early stages of the course it won't quite feel that way yet. But in the later stages of this course this will start to happen, and it is a really amazing feeling when it all starts to flow. Smile
