MODULE 23

This sacrum massage work feels so good that i had to request my sister to study it too and do it on myself. I still find a bit difficult the transition from one side to the other, it feels my legs are not strong enough and i always support myself (my weight) on clients sacrum when i know i shouldnt.

Really enjoyed this module, i will for sure do some sacrum work on my clients in the future, all of this information is new for me and i cant wait to start using all this skills.

During the  practice on my sister I felt comfortable doing the work, i managed to find the sacrum and the fusion of the vertebras.

MODULE 24

The back work showed on this module felt easy to do. I inicially was keeping my elbows locked and i felt the tension on my wrists as they were not loosing and they starting to hurt a bit. Everything felt smoothier and more comfortable for me when I bent the elbows.

The massage exercises are easy and not difficult to persuade. I quite like to do it and i went around the family at home offering this little rocking back massages.

Personally I love to receive sacrum work. The fact is that hardly any massage therapists do it unfortunately. Either they don't have the techniques, or they are worried that somehow sacrum work is too 'sensitive' (which I could never understand why that would be so). I hope you will get many people to experience Thai Massage sacrum work! Smile

MODULE 25

In the two persons i tried it was easy to find the groove but for safety i have also used my two fingers. I also used my elbows for some rock and back and forth movement which my friends loved it. I am comfortable with this technique.

I dont feel so comfortable yet using my knee but i think is a great and wonderful way of resting our arms and hands and to be used in big clients as you mention.

MODULE 26

Glad you always show power techniques to warm up muscles with elbows, so our hands, fingers and wrists can have a break.

the last technique took me a while to circling with one hand and massage de neck with the other. IT feels amazing on the client i can imagine. Because i couldn't get the movement right i first did only neck, then only scapula and and the end i tried to make it all together but i feel i need to practice this exercise more.

Module 27

I this upper back work is so needed nowadays, people spent most of the time sitting down and adapting bad postures, so here we are to help to realease tension in those muscles.

the releasing the scapule with my fingers is a tecnhique i will for sure use in all massages i will give, I only experiment in two partners and they said it was really nice!

Assisted Kobra is a tecnhique i have been doing, so i have no questions about it, it is nice to know how we can intensify the stretch.

THe percurssion in the back at the end is another must to help the client feel relaxed.

MODULE 28 - PRONE SUMMARY

I always love the summary at the end of the modules. It is so mesmerizing to see you flowing and working on clients. I think it was great the way you worked the leg from feet to hip and it all starts making much more sense now. I have been practicing on my friends and developing my skills becoming each time more confident. At the begining i always feel like "oops.. i just forgot everything."  Then, as i start massaging, the techniques start coming up to my mind and i just go with the flow. Always asking feedback and if they are enjoying or if there is something they would like me to do in a diferent way.

I have a question, while doing palm circling on the back why do we palm circling on the far side of the spine and not on the same side where we are? Same question with elbow working. I realy enjoy elbow work on the erectors. I feel i need to touch many more backs in order to diagnose knots on muscles.

The main reason is that in this way you don't press on the spine which can be quite uncomfortable, especially when working with your elbows.

MODULE 29

I practice this techniques on my friend who has big legs and it felt realy nice to massage her legs on the side position.

The warm up legs I have no difficulties in getting the moves done straight.

The sitting on the side of the hamstrings technique she said it was a nice sensation and she could feel a sensation of tingling on her foot, i was carefull to stand up slowly as you tell.

Warming up the glute was also easy and the percurssion on the glute felt nice and i am confident now with this technique, always remembering  to stop it slow, in a gradual movement.

the technique to stretch the adductors and hip, she felt the stretch and I used the 1-10 scale of pain. I actually asked her to try on myself too and it feels realy nice. I think i will use glutes work and adductors stretch while clients will be on the side position as i felt it easier for me to hold the leg up.

MODULE 30

I do like to work on the back while client on side position althought i felt that is not so grate to observe both sides of the spine and compare the muscles.

Palm and thumbs curcling there was no problem in getting this technique done.

While leaning on the erectors with heels of the hands i noticed i was not pushing the erectors mucles towards the spine but to the side opposite de spine.. Yellso i have to press on the spine. My friend said she liked both ways but more the one i lean against the spine, so i shall remember the next time. Also the knee support hels a lot with the leaning into the muscles.

Spinal twist she enjoyed.

When adding the rocking type spinal twist it was hard at the start but then i could managed, i just imagine the dance type movement and with a song in my head "pull, push.... pull, push... pull, push" i can do it better and try to get all the moves coordenated.

Spinal stretch with the knee on the back was easier than when I changed the knees position. Stretching and changing my knee position from sacrum to hamstrings made the sweat and took some energy from myself, but she liked it.

I feel that for me, spinal twists are easier with client on the side

By now you have a good handle on Thai Massage. Just make sure to keep repeating the techniques from the very beginning so that they form a complete picture for you. If you keep doing that, the flow will develop and your confidence will grow. Smile

Also make sure to re-watch the videos. Pretty much everyone reports that they found all kinds of things the second time which they had missed the first time around.

Yes i have been offering massages to my friends and relatives at the beach so i can keep practicing, lucky them 🙂 And I also feel at some point i should re watch the videos again or the techniques i fell less confident.

MODULE 31

The first move circling on the shoulder felt weird at the beginning, i think i was doing big circles and my partner could find a comfortable position for his arm. Do i lock his arm with my elbow while circling? I then did small circles with less amplitude and it worked better.

Massaging the trapezius while circling the shoulder worked better when i used my right hand to massage the trapezius, i just have to do things in slow motion so i can get the moves right.

the 360 technique felt amazing on him, but i could observe he has good mobility on his shoulders. I will hav to try with someone with thighed shoulders.

Moving with whole body is something i can do now easier too and also your explanations on the videos are just.... spot on! thank you 🙂

I admit i had to do the techniques with the video by my side playing at the same time, but it worked.

Thank you 🙂

MODULE 32

the scapula work is so niiice! i really like when you showed it on the upper back work too. I havent touched a glued scapula yet but i am sure i will in future. I really like this three techniques.

The traction on the arm and shoulder fetl nice and easy too.

Kneading the armpit and shoulder and then lean on the torso felt good on my partner.

good way of finishing the sequence with the last move, it  feels a very nice stretch not only on shoulder but also arm and torso.

Thank you 🙂

Regarding your question about the shoulder circling move - you have to lock in your partner's arm between your body and your forearm, otherwise it will slide off and it will feel really weird for your client and for you. You have to fix the arm so that it feels really stable. That's why you have to sit really close to your client's body so that the arm cannot slide behind the client's back. Then you use your forearm on the other side to prevent the arm from sliding down the front side.

It really has nothing to do with the size of the circles, but with your body mechanics to lock the arm in place. I know it's a little tricky to do that correctly, but with practice you will get there. Smile
