I am currently taking the Complete Thai Massage Course and I took the heavenly Head Massage Course as an addition to it. I do full body thai massage on my son, but the head and neck massage is by far his favorite part. To keep our thai yoga massage sessions within realistic time frame I divided the techniques that I have learned into logical groups and we do one group in one session. My son always asks for head and neck massage - it is undoubtedly his favorite. He feels so super relaxed when I do head and neck massage to him - by the end of our session he usually rolls on his side, plus his knees to his chest and falls asleep. It makes my heart so happy to watch him - he reminds me a little puppy making funny little noises while sleeping 🙂 There is something so natural and so primal in doing head and neck massage to my little boy - it brings us closer to natural state of things, and pushing all complicated things aside. Sometimes the most simple things in life are the very best things in life. We do so many complex things in life that simple joys became almost extinct. Taking a nature walk and watching a sunset with my son are the things that are the least complicated, and the least "valued" from the practical point of view (comparatively to school and therapies, and practice and all other "important stuff"). But for me those are also the most treasured things in life. I am happy to say that doing thai yoga with my son is now on the same list of simple things that give me the most joy in life. Thank you, Shama for bringing Thai yoga massage in my and my son's lives!
