My name is Taisha. I do live in austria and iam working with several massage technuiques since 10 years. 5 years ago i decided to turn my passion into profession so i became a massage therapist. during this period i got in contact with many different kind of techniques and so i ended up with taking some peaces from here, some fron there beeing left with a sence that iam just sweaping on the surface.
All the sudden I was faced in a comunity wich was providing pregant weman. If you know the contents of what is beeing told in western schools about that important issue you will be disappointed, cause there is no such thing. They just leave you with all kinds of "no goes". This was making me feel a little insecure, so i had to find a proper technique to satisfy my clients and at the sime time feel comforable with it.
That's how i came into contakt with Thai Yoga Massage and all the sudden, for the first time i was certain that i found "my technique" and i knew that i'll stick to it not just by sweaping the surface but to specialize deeper into it.
welcome to the forum. I also know of massage schools where they teach all kinds of "no-go" areas. I think this is a real pity because some of those areas are in real need of good massage. And certainly pregnant women should be able to enjoy and benefit from massage just like everybody else. I have given Thai Massage treatments to quite a few pregnant women and as long as you know what you are doing, there is no problem at all. There are specialized trainings which teach pregnancy massage. However with good massage skills and some common sense, it is really not that difficult to work on pregnant women. I wrote one article about this topic:
I am glad that you found that Thai Yoga Massage is "your technique" - it is really an amazing system. You ended up in the right place to go as deep as you want. We have courses about many aspects of Thai Massage. I hope they will help you to advance and enjoy your chosen career.

Thank you, Shama. I have to say that it's quite new for me to be a member of a forum but i already do like the taste of it, so I am happy to join all of you.
And yes, after my training of "Nuad for woman health care" I was really surprised of what all can be done to pregnant woman.
I am glad you like the feeling of being part of a forum. I have two observations I would like to share.
1. At the bottom of the page there is a "subscribe" button. If you click that you will be notified when anyone posts something on that thread that you subscribed to.
2. The secret of getting something out of a forum is to comment on what others have written, make some posts, and be active. There are quite a few people who post something once and they wait for everybody else to leave comments. That generally does not happen. But if everybody shares something interesting, comments on other member's posts, then it becomes lively and interesting.
Over time this forum will grow and become more active and I am really looking forward to having an inspiring community of people who are active in the healing arts, massage, yoga, personal growth etc.
There are two kinds of people who post here. Some are members who just like to get into some communication, and the second group are students who post their progress reports with their courses in order to receive a certificate at the end of the course. And some do both.
I am looking forward to hearing more from you, Taisha, best wishes,
