Hey New Friends!

I am a recent Thai Massage community joiner and very excited to be here.  I am a massage therapist currently working in Austin TX (soon to be in Philadelphia, PA).  Learning Thai Massage seems like it's going to open up so many doors to meeting great people and sharing a gift with people everywhere I go.  I love that I get to combine my love of Yoga and my skill as a bodyworker in one session, all the while saving my smalls muscles and joints from being overworked!  THis is the beginning of something really big.  Thanks for opening the doors!

With gratitude...

Hey new friend, glad to have you! Laugh I used to live in Austin, TX, before I ended up living in Thailand. Still have friends there. Before that I lived in Allentown, PA (near Philadelphia). You are doing it in the other direction, it seems. I am looking forward to observing your progress with your new course!

Welcome. Glad to see another Texas resident learning Thai. Welcome Sarah. I'm in Longview, TX but finding many others doing thai around the state. Robert Gardner, there in Round Rock does a few Thai trainings in Austin.  You can find him on Facebook under Austin Thai massage.

Thanks Mark!  I looked into Robert Gardner and considered taking a couple of classes with him in person but this option seemed more my style since it's in my own time and a complete Thai course.  Have you taken any of his trainings?  Thanks for reaching out...

I haven't taken any of Robert's trainings. I have talked to him about coming up to Longview. I have been to several in Dallas with David Miles and Souri Sisavath in Houston. Also Kimberly Hardick in the Dallas area has some pretty good Thai workshops. Having done many workshops I can say that Shama's videos are done very well. I have applied many of his techniques to my own style begun by Kimberly and Souri. I know Robert is very ecclectic in his approach so would encourage you to learn as much as possible from Shama but also connect to the groups in your area. Great opportunities on Thursday nights with Robert's play group to learn and practice. David has the play groups in Dallas and my wife and I go off and on to those. It is a 2 1/2 hour drive or we would go more often. We are going to have Souri from Houston here for 2 days in February if you are interested. It is a 20 hour live training and will cost $275. Not bad at all on the cost.

Wow, there's so much happening on the local Thai circuit I wasn't aware of! Thanks for the imfo but getting away for any reason, even a good educational one, isn't an option Confused I will keep these names in mind for future connecting. Thanks again for sharing the wealth!

You are studying with a great teacher then. Let me know if your schedule gets better and you want to check out some of the local groups.
