I’m very excited about this course! My name is Regina and I am from Detroit, MI. I have been practicing and teaching yoga for about 10 years now. I have always been looking into massage therapy for years, but it never seemed to work out. I liked the idea of helping to heal through massage, but I think it didn’t work out because it wasn’t the type of healing I was looking to do. Currently, I already “stretch” my clients, but I didn’t realize it actually had a name! 🙂 I like how it is explained in the videos that Thai massage is more of an energetic experience and that is exactly what I am looking for. I know the science of it (anatomy) but I work better with energy so this is perfect! I am also a Reiki practitioner so I’d like to maybe see if these two energy fields can work together somehow. When you talk about buying trainings and not finishing, boy am I guilty of that!! I like that this is not delivered in one huge package. I think that will help me be more successful. I do have to motivate myself though and this will help as well as having a passion for the subject! Anyway, thank you for the program and I look forward to learning!
Hi Regina, welcome to our forum community. We have dozens of yoga and Reiki practitioners in here, so you are in good company!
With what you described and your background of Yoga and Reiki, I am pretty sure you will find exactly what you were looking for in this course. This is very similar to my own background, which influenced me in creating this particular style of Thai Massage.
The traditional energy line work in Thai Massage is quite different from Reiki, but it is still a similar concept. In addition I have introduced additional energy elements in my Thai Massage style as you will see later in the course. Those came from my experience with Quantum Touch healing and Qigong. It can all be combined very effectively and beautifully.
