Hello all!

This is my first time taking formal massage instruction. I have had a strong interest in massage since I was young, and have regularly practiced administering general massage to my wife for several years now. I have studied nutrition, and am also a certified Reiki II practitioner.

I am looking to be able to more effectively give massage to my wife, who suffers from anxiety, as well as lower back, sciatic, and neck pain.

Currently, I work full-time as a Sound Engineer for Broadcast Television, but I am also interested in learning a skill such as Thai massage that could potentially help establish and support myself and my family if we choose to relocate somewhere else in the world one day.

It's a pleasure to be learning here with you all! Cool

Hi Matt, welcome to our forum and thanks for telling us about you. You have a healing arts background which is a good starting point. Helping your wife is a great reason for taking this course. My wife and I work on each other all the time, and it is a wonderful element of our marriage. It results in better health, gratitude and quality interaction.

Thai Massage can be helpful and effective for all the conditions which you mentioned above. It will take several months to get to the point of reasonable proficiency. And some of the conditions which you mentioned might require some of our specialty courses. For example working on sciatica is something which is covered in great detail in our sciatica training course, and for neck pain the Heavenly Head Massage course would be ideal. My wife has sciatica issues as well, by the way.

Lower back pain is covered in detail in the Complete Thai Massage course along with lots of other material. Let's take it one step at a time. This course is the foundation and our most extensive program. This one alone would be enough to become a proficient Thai Massage therapist. If you want to get into more specialty therapy training, we can address that later after you have a good solid basis.

Thai Massage is a very practical and effective skill to have, and it can be turned into a good income as well.
