Blessings new friends ~
I am excited to begin receiving the video course tomorrow! I have already found myself impressed with Shama's direct and poetic way of explaining Thai massage technique and subtlety through the free six part video series.
I live in Janesville, Wisconsin, just south of Madison. I began learning Thai Massage a few years ago through my partner yoga/partner acrobatic practice. I have since taken classes formally and have made it my primary practice and source of income. In addition, I am a certified yoga instructor and offer classes on a weekly basis. I have also formally studied TuiNa (Chinese medical massage), Swedish, and acupressure, though I am not a licensed massage therapist.
As much as the course material itself, I am excited to make connections with people all over who share the same interest in Thai bodywork. I am the only one of my kind here in Janesville so I look forward to having community to process ideas and share the passion with. You can count on me being active on the forums as I typically like to be more than a little bit involved in what I do
Until next time ~~
Welcome to our forum. How do you like to be called - Kristin or Manjula?
I am not surprised that you are the only one of your kind in Janesville which is not exactly a holistic hub unlike Madison. (My daughter used to live in Janesville).
You have all the ideal prerequisites to benefit from this course. We have lots of yoga instructors in the forum who added or expanded their Thai Massage skills. So you are in good company.
I am looking forward to your involvement in the forum. I have the feeling that you will be a source of inspiration!
