Hello, my name is Cynthia, Thia (pronounce tee-ah) for short. I am living in the U.S. in Reno, NV. and have been a Massage Therapist since 1996. I have just purchased the Complete Thai Massage course and am excited about beginning this new learning adventure. I hope to increase the longevity of my career as well as provide healing through touch for people who are uncomfortable with nudity and the thought of being touched. Touch is vital for health of body, mind and spirit and I hope to open the doors for people who are fearful of a massage experience. Have a beautiful day. Namaste
Hi Cynthia, welcome to our community. Thai Massage is excellent for increasing the longevity of a massage career since you get to use your body so much more efficiently than with table/oil massage. Thai Massage has better ergonomics since you can get right on top of people, and you can use more body parts than in table/oil massage.
You can also reach a different clientele, as you mentioned, who don't like the idea of being undressed. So you did mention very valid reasons, and you will see that there are additional very compelling reasons which make Thai Massage a very attractive component of a massage career.
